    Keep the rpm low helps the mileage. Save the fuel for the trail.

    Yep...got one on the way from a wreckers.
    Toyota won't cover it under warranty as it's not a Toyota lift kit. Unreal.
    Diff fluid was super black and runny...must have sucked up more water...bad vent?
    Anyways 700 bucks used diff truck had 77k buddy will charge me 500 to put it in...then let it sail!

    Were the gear splines broken inside the diff or the ADD tube section gave up?

    Blew the pinion seal blasted diff fluid out everywhere ...not sure what's messed up internally...I can limp the truck around town.

    If you get time after, don’t throw it away and have a closer look (take it apart?) . Not a common thing to blow up, would be cool to know what gave.

    Pinion seal gone might mean bad Pinion bearings. If the pitch of the noise changes with speed probably Pinion bearings gone.

    When putting in the replacement diff, verify the breather/breather line isn't clogged.

    Hope your new truck doesn't do this :fingerscrossed:

    I should have raked the lift off while I had it apart. Then it would have been covered.

    dealer told me the same thing when I was having BSM issues. The lift is the reason for everything… idiots.
