BumperShellz for the 4G Foglamp Bezel?

Hi everyone! We're running a little survey. We're thinking about fog lamp bezel for this truck as pictured below. We'd sell them in painted-to-OEM code colors for a cool color match look.



What do you guys think? Are there other areas you'd like to see us make parts for?

To be fair, I did highlight it in such a way that makes it look like we created concept art...

 

I thought this was going to be a post about camper shells, written by someone younger than me. Like, “I keep my grillz inside my camper shellz.”

I'd like to see it with color matched parts to camoflague the weird tears under the headlights.

 

Interesting suggestion! I'll make sure I bring this up the to R&D team and see what they think

 

I made a quick mock-up of what a color match might look like... Lemme know what y'all think. It's not a good photoshop, but it gets the idea across.

I think it would be very interesting to have that section be color matched
however I think a big benefit here would be if you had an option that actually had a more robust license plate mounting system
the plates just came in for my truck today and when I went to put them on I was utterly disappointed with how the license plate is intended to be mounted, it's literally too screws directly into the plastic
and the worst part is I'm pretty sure it was the dealer that installed it but they didn't even do it level, there's some type of adapter that sits in between the license plate and the truck, it's not doing much though, and the dealership actually partially stripped one of the holes so it's basically being held on with hopes and dreams

 

Here's an image of the front of the vehicle, to clarify here in Texas you're required to have a license plate in the front and the back, if I were to try and relocate the front license plate somewhere else or get some type of other bracket I would still end up with two holes in that piece, also frankly I'm not exactly happy with how the license plate mounts in the back either it is also literally just screwed into plastic, it seems like license plate mounting was a complete afterthought

 

You guys should come up with a chrome delete kit for the Limited Tacomas. I'd like to have a Limited but I definitely don't want all the chrome.

 

Chrome is why it's Limited.

If you like all the other fluff, why not just go Pro?

 

I'd love a Pro but I'm sure the Pro is going to cost a fortune... especially if dealers tack on markups.

 

Have you ever tried running without a front plate in Texas?

 

No I have not, I've been told that they're pretty lenient about it, but I also know people that have gotten fix it tickets for not having a front license plate, so I'd rather not give them an excuse to pull me over, and either way if I were to remove the plate there's two shitty ass holes drilled in the front that look awful, I just feel like there should have been a little more effort put into it like at least threaded inserts that have caps that you can remove if you need to put a license plate there and if not at least there's not two holes there but just drilling into the very thin plastic, just feels cheap, The price that they're asking for these trucks is going up and up I feel like there could have been a little more effort into how the license plates were mounted, Plus like I previously stated the one in the back is almost worse, I'm already looking into some type of bracket that I can install there and actually screw into the metal that is there. Seriously have any of you looked at how the license plate is mounted it's awful

 

If you really want to make some friends, I'd look into making a bezel that can fit all the Diode Dynamics and Baja Designs lights that have been sold for the prior gens. That way everyone doesn't have to run out and buy the new style fogs. Maybe make a design that fits that faux vent under the headlights as well? Just a thought.

 

The lower fog light valence is interesting also, the fender flares would be another idea…
