Well, my afternoon was cut short

Cut out the large sections for the smoke pit, need to cut shit off with the hand torch though

Damn pin is stuck and I'm guessing the spring broke or something

    20240307_155748.jpg

So funny thing, had only posted asking if many had their pins get stuck on their hand torch (for their plasma cutter).

    20240307_155748.jpg

Was going to open her up and bypass the wires.

Anyway this was at about 4pm, so 6pm central time.

I mean, I was going to call PrimeWeld to see about getting my torch replaced under warranty; it's seen nearly 2 years of hard use.

Didn't even have to wait until today to call. They messaged me on FB yesterday that they're sending one out today.

They sent me $100 worth of consumables for free when I asked if they had released a different cut chart for their UPM-105 CNC torch; it used completely different consumables than another CNC torch they offer but there's a base chart to work off of that's provided.

Gene was like "I got you..what do you need 60 amp or 45 amp consumables?"

Told him I can do with 60 thinking he was only sending a 3 or 5 pack of tips. He sent 10 tips, 10 electrodes, a swirl ring, and 2 shielding cups.

I'm all for buying a nice Miller (I'm very fond of them) but if you were considering something from HF as far as plasma cutting, TIG, or MIG welder goes...PrimeWeld is cheaper, has a 3 year no questions asked warranty, and ridiculously good customer support.

that's exactly it, it would be a much better purchase than the HF one which I can expect approximately zero support for

HF does have that no hassle extended plan...but it costs more and is only for 2 years?

And most of their base prices are higher too.

My plasma cutter only set me back $700 about 2 years ago and I think it's the same price still; weaker plasma cutter from HF starts at $880

Well technically like 630 or 640, got a military discount.
