The last 2 times I was in Union was when Clinton High beat them to win region in the 2023 baseball season.

Then, to beat Union in the first round on the playoffs in route to the 2023 AAA State Championship.

Boy, does Union HATE Clinton … (as does Woodruff)

Prob 11am(opening) which will feel more like 10am since we are still blasting forward an hour once a year.

Oh and for clarity I will be taking the Taco not the Jeep.

Apparently I’m old now that I bought mud flaps. Our road is trash though. So much sand mud and rock. It even has a whoops section after it rains. Hate away, I like em  big fan of rally armor

Yesterday I came in from a non-fee area since I didn't have a parking reservation at Jones Gap. We hiked up the Mountain Bridge Wilderness trail to Rim of the Gap, then cut across to Caesars Head and back down to Oil Camp Creek. It's a medium-high difficulty hike and usually takes me 4-5 hours to complete. One of the toughest sections is Rim of the Gap which is deceptive on a topo map since it has little elevation change, but it's quite technical and slippery and can be frustrating to navigate.

Any of yall ever rip the actuator, or whatever Toyota calls it, out? Curious if I’m going to have to remove the whole dash, of if I can get to it from dropping the glovebox. Either way.. my local shop said it’s a 7 hour job, or so the job script calls for. I just can’t bring myself to paying 850$ to do something I should be able to do myself lol.

I did my buddy’s Highlander. Dealer quote was about $2,000. Mostly labor. We tunneled up under the dash to avoid taking the entire car apart. It was a F***ing nightmare and took about 6 hours but we saved him over $1500. Getting the blend door and HVAC rods all lined up was extremely difficult. There was some divine intervention after about 2 hours of trying to line up everything and it miraculously went together. Imagine trying to solve one of those Chinese metal brain puzzles with just your fingertips blind folded. Maybe Tacomas are easier. Good luck!

side note, time to do shocks on the 2014 Sequoia Platinum. Debating deleting the factory electronic front shocks and going to Elka adjustable remote resi set at zero lift to help with our nasty dirt road that might rival some sections of the Baja 1000. I don’t see the factory suspension being able to handle it for many years. It’s washboard with whoops and lots of moon craters normally. Grading the road only fixes it for a few days. What are your thoughts? Not removing the factory rear air ride and auto leveling. these are what I’m debating.

No idea about the Sequoia but on my Golf R I had to buy some fancy resistors for like $500 to fool the computer into thinking the electronically adjustable coilovers were still active when I swapped the OEM for some non-adjustable Bilstein replacements. Do you know if the rear adjusters on the Sequoia are dependent on being able to talk to the sensors/adjusters on the fronts?

    I missed it.

I’m pretty sure they make caps that’ll fool it fairly cheap. Have to decide if I want to drop the cash on some extended travel resi coilovers or just swap with OEM again

See, I wonder if I even have to mess with the door to unplug the servo and bolt the new one on? Speaking from no experience though, never done one at all. May just live with it. Still works, just squeaks lol.
