How much of a job is it to replace the driver side diff bearing? Mine is done, CV moves all over and oil has made an appearance.
Edit, never mind, just ordered the full kit from ECGS. Video makes it look easy, clean diff, no oil filth on everything, on a lift, good lighting, should be a breeze in the driveway. :D

Following up to report on my experience with Tru Automotive and SPC warranty. Tru swapped out and aligned my UCAs for $410. Considering the last shop I used charged almost double that just for alignment, I'm happy with $410. My only complaint is it got later in the day than I liked for a callback about the status of the truck. I finally called them around 4:15 PM to check on the status and they told me it was ready and they were finishing up paperwork. I had to arrange a ride to collect the truck, so I was concerned they were going to close before I could get there.

Mailed the old arms back to SPC and they approved them for warranty replacement. From what I've heard on here, there's a 50% chance whether SPC will approve warranty replacement, so I'm happy with this. So far, truck seems to be handling well and the nasty popping sound is gone. Let's hope the new arm design by SPC is better than the last.

Sorry if I missed this earlier, but what shop did you take it to that charges close to $800 for an alignment? Thats absolutely absurd. The high end of the range for an alignment should never be more than $200

    Axle might not be aligned/shifted.
Or could just be a characteristic of the tire.
You can check alignment with a tape measure off the tongue back to each wheel.
Or rotate the tires side to side and see how that wears, maybe it'll even out.

I was curious what “alignment” could be made. Can you elaborate more on how to check that?

Swapping tires from one side to the other was going to be my next step.

Use a tape measure to triangulate off the edge of the tire back to center of the tongue.
Better yet, pull the tires off and measure from the axle itself to remove any tread anomalies from the measurement.
The axle can sometimes be shifted by loosening the U bolts, ratchet strap the thing to move it, tighten it down and hope for the best.

Toy Automotive. I asked around on here about a year ago what shops I can trust to align SPCs arms and was told there's a guy at Toy Auto who does great work. The shop told me aligning these arms costs more than a regular alignment. Since I was new to SPC arms, I thought maybe it was normal, but it definitely felt wrong. Wish I'd been smarter about it at the time.
