Good morning driver's IT'S SUPER TUESDAY if your state participates today don't forget to vote. Wife's working the polls today and wants to tell people that YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE. They will register you today and let you vote today. It's all about your right to vote.

My Betty worked the polls here in Michigan. Now that she's a US citizen she can do that, and she has time being retired. She got to see some of the people she worked with for many years.
50s today, got some rain coming.

Probably won't see 50 today.
I pointed out to my boss that the plate and registration that penske gave us is only plated at 80k, not 130k like we normally run. Which means I can only haul 42k instead of the 68k to 71k they normally put on me. And she can't say shit because she didn't even look at the registration and cab card before she handed it to me. No my problem.

 

Good morning driver's ^^^ what Greg said. Y'all be careful and have a good day today. Wife got home around 21:00 last night. I expect her to be very tired all day. Raining here today and expected to rain all day 56 and already .68" of rain.

 

Well I came in to work today and there was a brand new rental from another company waiting for me. Apparently penske won't rent heavy unless it's a long term lease.

 

Was it at least nice?

 

Yeah it only has 20k miles on it, still has new car smell, lol. It's an international with an auto trans. The new autos are really nice, this thing pulls and shifts really good. Theres no lag when it shifts. I think it's a high horsepower motor because it pulls better than any auto I've driven. It's so nice to drive a truck that everything works on it. Only thing I have bad to say about it is that it's an international and the seat still sucks. They just can't make a good seat, lol.

Didn't get any pics but I got behind an old cab over on my way home with what sounded like an old 2 stroke Detroit! Sounded soooooo good!!!

 

It's FRIYAY! Man it's going to be hard to give up this rental truck, it's a good one. Also first one I have driven with disc brakes and they work great and are quiet too. What a difference a few years make with the auto transmissions, this one shifts so fast and there is almost no lag between shifts. Really nice.
I pulled some heavy loads yesterday and it did really well. Man it's nice to drive a truck that everything works on it.

Profit sharing checks came out today. I was expecting less than last year because of the economy and its been slow at work. But it was surprisingly more than last. Thank you very much, but I still hate this job and my boss, but I'll take your money, lol.

 

Saturday am and at work, hardly anybody here, wierd. 5 other cars in the parking lot.

Yup, I just slept in, coffee in bed with my Betty and the kitties now. This is my rest day, all errands where done yesterday so today is just rest. Probably get in my shop today because I love that, it's my happy place.

 

Made it 5 weeks without having to see,talk, or interact in any way with a manager/supervisor. It was nice. Unfortunately had to text maintenance supervisor today to fix fender. Resetting the clock.

 

Monday, so far it's been a smooth one.
