Sounds like you had to be well down in the 40s in order to have the price plus taxes and fees equal $52K out the door.

There are no taxes collected at the time of sale. You pay excise tax to the state when you tag it.

No taxes and fees in Oklahoma at purchase. Taxes are paid to the state when you tag it.

It’s not easy to produce an engine/transmission combo that essentially every reviewer disliked haha. So far reviewers have had positive feedback on the 4th Gen powertrain and engine.

So your real OTD is $53,709. Still beats $57,496. Most people consider OTD to include TTL.

Not in Oklahoma they don't. My OTD price at the dealer was exactly what I said it was $52,019. That is the amount of money the dealer received from me in exchange for the truck, OTD. In Oklahoma there are at least a dozen Indian tribes that also issue state tags. The rates vary from tribe to tribe but most are less than half the cost of an Oklahoma state tag. The only exception is a lease which must be an Oklahoma state issue tag. Mine was not. With the wide range of excise/tag costs here they are never discussed as part of the purchase price

Yeah my 4Runner is a stock ORP w/ KDSS.

The 2024 sport had leather, sunroof, heated steering wheel, it looked fully equipped from what I could tell. In Canada I believe it's called Sport Premium+ trim?

I tried both the normal mode and the sport mode and kept switching between them at traffic lights. Normal mode was great, low end torque, very trucky. Sport mode revs highers, closest thing on the 3rd gen would be the ECT power button, that's more or less how it worked but way more refined than the ECT on the 3rd gen.

There is an eco mode too but I didn't bother testing it.

    Itz JDM tyte, yo!
I’m also curious in the new manual 4th gen in the TRD Off-Road trim level. I want to test drive one to get a first hand experience on what it’s like to drive one and see how much I like it. The increase in torque is going to be so nice.

Now for the even better news. In this wonderful country we can freely make fun of people who make objectively bad decisions.

I’m sorry that i’m not reaffirming the fact you actually paid $50k+ for a measly Tacoma.

Yes, another person (ridetime) posted an OTD on this thread of over $52k for his 4th gen Tacoma.

Here is a ton of brand new SR5 Crewmax Tundra 4x4’s for under $50k.

Gets about the same MPG and objectively does almost everything better.

I’ve had some collect some not collect. OTD just implies everything required to buy a vehicle. Many states require taxes be collected so it gives some people a false hope they’ll get a huge discount. Albeit that’s an amazing deal on a new Tacoma. Wonder why they discounted it so much.

The stock shocks on the off-road 4Runner are too soft and dangerous. The non KDSS runner shocks are easily changed.

Lol at how defensive people who paid $50k+ for a Tacoma are getting. You got ripped off, just get over it dude. As long as you’re happy with your purchase that’s all that matters, you shouldn’t need others to affirm your objectively poor decisions.

Yeah that was me. You really should buy a Tundra then. You roll around in an 11 year old truck (on 35's) and you think you know what others want? I wanted a Tacoma, NOT a Tundra, and especially not a stripped down SR5. You need to go look at other manufacturers prices if you think Tacomas are overpriced. Spend less time bashing others because they decided to spend their hard earned money how they choose to. Try making a contribution to the 4th gen forum instead of running down others purchases.

I'm all for the 4th gen but the price tag is a joke.

Hear you go again bashing others choices. Nobody cares about your opinion. You drive a vehicle from another decade and probably will never buy a Tundra or Tacoma! You haven't even driven one and don't know what the fk your talking about.

In addition a SR5 Tundra is not comparable in options to your Limited you have. Your truck is niiiiice.
