Favorite Whiskey?

One of my favorites

 

That’s starting to become a real thorn in my side. Back in the day i went through countless bottles (with the old label before it was green) and now I haven’t seen one for sale in a few years, and I always look…. That’s a bottle I’d really like to try again….

 

I’m not a big hype guy, but this batch was fantastic. This, to me at least, lived up to the hype. Cheers.

 

we don’t get the single barrel in PA but whenever I’m out of state I see them all the time. Be happy to grab just don’t know when it would be

Finished a bottle tonight. I do like Rye. I found with this one the straighter the better. Anything added it to it makes it lose flavor fast.

 

How was this compared to A and B batches? I never saw the C out this way.

 

Nothing too exciting, but I had a small taste of the bulleit "barrel aged" a couple days later, it's definitely mellowing and sweetening, not getting a ton of the oakiness yet like the reviews said I would. Raleys didn't have anything terribly exciting, so I grabbed another BT store pick, the last one is almost gone!

 

I was able to find A and B easily. I had a friend mail me the C batch. I’d rank them C, A, B. C was a banger of a batch.

 

And now A124....welcome to the new ECBP, where 1 batch per year will be an unfindable ancient banger and the rest will get dusty on store shelves.

86 proof 4 y/o turkey. I personally find the proof too weak for the age and use it as a mixer.

well your table is clean tonight….it smells better than it taste. I’m gonna try a few more variations soon. It needs something to thin it out , vodka is my next variable

 

Thanks!!! Ideas on what’s states I should look? I’m headed to AZ, TX, and NM for a month in April and providing I don’t get car jacked I should have time for some bourbon hunting.

 

It used to be in BJs by the case for $24 years ago in Mass then vaporized. Was in Louisville last weekend and one store had it for $39 with 1 bottle per customer.
Stopped in a fairly new store a few days ago at home and there was a full display of BT selling for $39. I don’t understand this bourbon business.

 

im east coast so not sure out there but it’s a sazerac product, definitely gets national distribution
