To my knowledge you will loose more power with a turbo 400 but there’s a reason the big block ultra 4 cars run them.

What’s the power loss difference between it and a 4L80E?

4l80 is a 400 with an extra gear. Quite literally. Parts even interchange. If you’re cool with only 3 gears go for it. But if you do any street driving OD is nice.

Kind of an interesting statement when lots of TT’s are 4l80. It more falls in line with what you’re doing, how fast you want to go and what kind of gearing you have.

Was more meaning I'd only run a TH400 if my truck was offroad only. TT's do lot's of highway miles in the Baja. Though I think in general, trucks have gotten so fast off road now that they do need the 4th gear.

Hey quick noob question here. Trailgear told me only the misalignment spacer turns when steering but in my case the whole uniball turns. I have it all torqued to spec.

they either described it wrong or the person you talked to doesn’t know what they are talking about. Yes the actual ball in the uniball is the only thing that should be moving.

The wear surface is on the outside of the unit, not the inner diameter that the bolt and misalignments fit into, so wrong. That would be like an inner sleeve on a poly style bushing (but even those will sometimes rotate a little on the outside)
