Use google to make finding stuff easier. I searched “tacomaworld water sloshing door” to find that one

As others said, there are drain holes in the underside of the door.

Best to fill those with silicone or flex seal to keep your door water from leaking out onto the sill.

    Pickups are the new SUV.

Everyone that needs a minivan is terrified of the image it gives off of 'settling', and instead all want something that gives of vibes like we're all crossing moab every weekend, despite barely making it out of the garage to Walmart.

Just an update. I just got back from my 5000 mile service where I mentioned the water issue and showed them the photo posted above. You can see by the report I did have an issue with 3 of my doors. Again I have to mention I didn't have a few drops on my sills. We had a couple of nor'easters pass through in the last few weeks. Enough to put a hurting on my basement. When I opened my driver's door it was like someone threw a Dixie cup of water on my shoes.

Where abouts do you hear dripping sounds? I hear mind around the speaker area around the window channels. It drips faster when i opened and closed the window. I noticed accumulation of water also by the door panel.

Sadly mine is the same. There is slight water dribbling into the door sill and little drops in the door panel. Im not sure if it should concern me. I opened the panel. Came to notice the vapour barriee wasnt fully intact with the tape. So i put it back on but with your description and having to reseal it back.. it still drips but not as much as previously stated. It does look like its weeping from the speakers then slowly onto the door panel.

Yours had leaks coming out from the door panel as well? What did you do to remedy it? Or has it caused any further issues?

Sorry guys I haven't been monitoring the site and didn't have notifications turned on for the thread.
I'm not exactly sure what the dealer did inside my doors but for the most part it's been fixed. I say most part because I still see one little spot by the front most weep hole but only after heavy rains or bucket and hose washes.
To the people saying this is normal, I have to disagree. Yes there are weep holes up that high but they have a rubber plug thingy in them.
Being my truck is so new and had that issue I will not take my doors apart just yet to see how the defects are occurring. This way I can bring it back again if need be should something in my doors (speakers regulator or whatever) should fail.
Did anyone else who opened their doors to reseal the barriers take any pictures of the inside and can post in this forum?

Yes the first time I noticed it was after a rainstorm and it was misty out. I opened my door and noticed the water. Not drops but water actually fell off the sill and hit the ground. I sat in the truck and before I started it I could hear tic tic tic like it was hitting above the speaker. I'm not sure if the plastic extends inwards.

I noticed it on both doors being like that. Like sounds of drips hitting. Apparently thats how they were designed. Theres a lip or a shround on the speaker itself acting like an umbrella above the glass channel. Therefore when it drain thru the door it hits that shroud. As far as the seepage into the door sill. I still have those drips. I did open my door panel and restuck the vapour barrier but its still weeps a tad. I noticed it weeps from the speaker mount holes then slowly dribbles into the door panel when i tested it hence drips on the door sill. I found others with the same problem. Just still not sure how it could be fixed.

"My passenger door does the same thing. It’s normal for some water to get in the door around the glass window seals but not between the plastic inner panel and door. I found that it comes between the inner panel and door panel by hitting the speaker that’s within the door cavity and comes out at the bottom of speaker. I formed a seal using an old rubber floor mat around bottom of speaker to fix it. It’s another fit/finish problem of the Tacoma. The panel is easy to come off. YouTube it."

Another 3rd gen owners experience, also provided pictures of where it was weeping and 2 of them said theyve had the same issue.
