WTF. How can they have so many different problems. Maybe building a second Mexican factory wasn’t a good idea. Quantity over quality.

Wonder what the problem was that made them drop the pan in the first place. Or what symptoms it was showing.

Yeah I think it was on the 4G forum, there wasn't an update to the post so who knows if it was a operator error or if it was broken.

It’s probably so when the turd catches on fire it’ll just burn up and you can have insurance pay for it then get something better.

Toyota has sold a grand total of 13,000 Tacomas through the first two months of 2024. They have some work to do.

Lowering the MSRP would be a good start. I suspect a lot of folks have either looked elsewhere or waiting for discounts.

Honestly not bad considering they did not start hitting the lots until after January 1 and there has been a hold on almost all that have been made for the last 2 weeks or so. There are over 22K in allocation, freight, or ground status as of today.

    Is that a yes?

You’re missing the mark here bud.

The power tailgate is a joke. Esp if the battery is dead for some reason.

So take this with a grain of salt but I had a dealer tell me all builds are now on hold as in no production of new builds. Could be a sale tactic but at the same time with the TFL thing, the shutters, a few transmissions its possible.

Im also suspect, I have been in contact with several dealers in about 5 nearby states, everything is still in QC hold well at least every TRD OR w/premium package.

I could definitely see it happening. Kinda sucks for people that own one already. We could see mass recalls in the near future for those that are already in possession.

On the plus side the mass recall would only be about 13,000 trucks! From the dealers posting on different places it looks like there is a slow release of the QC holds happening now. So the "problem" sounds like it's getting fixed at port.

What is strange is if there is a known problem why hasn't Toyota issued a recall notice? Compared to the recent 300k 3g recall this would be nothing.

They would probably have to obtain replacement parts or an approved design change before releasing a recall.
