Then your ball joints don't have that many miles, l would still get everything inspected.

Do the control arms have to be replaced, or just the ball joints?

You can do either, but most change the arms.

We had a tacoma in last week that had everything but the upper a arms changed and it looked stupid, no idea why the tech called the whole front end and ignored upper arms.

They ended up having noticeable play and needed to be replaced.

About $400 if I bought them now.
    Me installing them.

I have lifetime alignment, so I wont have to pay for that.

They are only on the front on a Tacoma. (So far )

You said you found them for less.
I was just saying, 4WD is a bit more expensive.

BTW, The Honda Ridgeline has control arms in the rear. :D

Ya, gotta be careful you get 5 lug base model upper arms, they are different.

F150 Lightning only has lower a-arms in the rear :(

    I miss my 99' somedays.
The best bang for my buck I ever spent.
Good power for a reasonable price.
Cheap to get more power too. Tune and pulley and you were GTG.

Not counting my GSXR bikes, of course.

I'm just gonna replace everything, and my dad's gonna help me out so I don't have to dip into my savings. My tax return is paying for the new tires. I should have a new job before the end of the month...

No need to replace the LCAs.
If they wore out in 2 years, something is “wrong”.

Yea dont change things unless needed. Test then change as needed. I was implying to simply ensure they are good.
