Going to hit the Mint 400 on Saturday on way to Death Valley. From there I'm not sure, but I'll think of something. :D

Had some fun at @Yacob_D ’s lab this afternoon, he got the Xfr case skid fitted and finished. Thrilled to finally have some real protection! Thanks again man, this thing is awesome. Let’s go smash it in to something now!

Hey wait @Yacob_D , you able to do exhaust stuff too? I've been back on my shit about how to tuck that exhaust crossover up higher on a T4R but the fuel tank is so much further forward on the runners that it seems like post-tcase routing is "too close to the fuel tank" or "too close to the transfer case motor"

    20240308_203043.jpg
You can see in the upper right hand corner that's the start of the fuel tank right there...

What I don't understand is how did someone magic the extra room in this pic on a tacoma... it looks like they beat the shit outta that shield but otherwise I am stumped.

Scottsdale Muffler (480-994-4741, 1879 E Third, Tempe) rerouted my 3rd Gen Tacoma exhaust. He may know about your T4R.

I'll have to give them a call. I had no idea just how much of a difference the Taco vs the Runner is underneath. The freakin fuel tank is in a different zip code! I mean I guess it makes sense considering the two are almost 20 inches different in wheelbase.

URD makes a Y pipe but it's spendy, apparently doesn't have the greatest fitment for the $$$, and also loops under the transmission pan which means now I have to worry about clearing that skid... :annoyed:

I remember why I gave up the first time lol:rofl:

Just brought the 22 OR in for it's first mod (can't do this one myself). Getting an exhaust re-route and exhaust dump so I can put on flat RCI skids. Showed the pics of the two common ways people route them and expressed my concerns about heat on the transfer case and my preference, etc. I left it up to their expertise as to which way was best since they came highly recommended. Thanks to TW people for all the great ideas and pics. Looking forward to seeing what they come up with.

Here's to my first mod that will start voiding my warranty :bananadance:

Wicked Wrench He's a good dude known him since Highschool back in 98' Ha!
He does a few custom thing outta his shop.

Awesome, I will keep him in mind because I'm sure at some point I'm going to get a wild hair to do something. I really wanna get that damn Artec bellypan but hooooly shit the cost on that is just eyewatering. It's like 5 G's now.

In the meantime I decided to just stick with the RCI plate. Managed to fiddle and make it work with my molested cross members, but I'm definitely just gonna eat the cost of new ones from the dealer come next time I have to drop that thing, I'm under there with a trim tool trying to push spacers where they need to be...

Swapped wheels today, went from the pro rims to methods, 13 to 0 offset. Made a right to back into a parking spot at Frys and thought I ripped the whole damn fender off the right side. Drivers side is fine.

    Toyotas are weird.
