Whatever

The last 9-10 months a ton of rain . I think at the end of 2023 we were over 60+ inches and just the other day over 2” and now another 1.5” . Used to get over a foot of water in the basement until the county did the road over in front of the house with new drainage . Flood plain 100feet from my front door . Hurricane Irene came through in 2011 when they were in the middle of fixing the road and it wiped out everything they had done and the had to start over . They tore up everyone’s driveway apron ( mine which was new ) had to drive over a steel plate . I just had my driveway blacktopped and the road crew did a shit job replacing it . Anyway since then it’s just a couple inches of water ion the floor now ……..
Whomever built this house in the 50s didn’t think to put footing drains in . It would be a major job now tearing everything up around the perimeter of the house . My septic tank butts right up to the patio concrete pad which butts up to the rear of the house . Footing drains ain’t happening. If I hit the lottery this place is being burnt to the ground and we are out of here
