I would never rely on anything with "rover" in the name, with the possible exception of the mars rover. That thing has been badass.

I thought rovers were the ultimate offroad luxury vehicles? With their prices they should be unstopable.

My dad works for a wealthy lady and thats her car of choice. My dad is the one that drives her every where so he takes care of the car. He is usually going to the dealer every other week to get something fixed. They just traded their 2009 in for a 2011 so when he gives me more feedback about it I'll let you guys know.

No, you're thinking of the Land-Cruiser-based Lexus LX series, although that really stopped being offroad oriented after the LX450 model.

Land Rovers and Range Rovers are rolling jokes for costing what they do and having the breakage issues they do.

lolollolol you must not be hearing about rovers bro. they are notorious for being in the shop more than they are on the road! I would never recommend anyone buying one!

Whether or not they're crappy, I still like the Ranger Rover Sport.

And the Evoque uses a Ford Ecoboost motor, which I haven't heard any bad things about.

That action video doesn't really show it doing anything that most other 4x4 equipped suvs can't do. You are better off sticking with the larger 4Runner for the reason of being in the shop A LOT less.

I like that hill climb thing to show off the 4x4...funny stuff. If they really wanted to wow us they should have made the whole hill snow/ice.

No one's arguing that it isn't cool looking. We're just advising you for the better interest of your monthly mechanic bill.

And I'm not sure what your girl means by not liking the "Bigger" 4Runner? It has barely grown in the last 3 generations. The 2nd and 3rd gen 4Runners are pretty much the same size. 4th gen they got a tad bigger but not huge and then the 5th gen is basically just a squared off 4th gen. She should take another look :D

Most concepts like to throw some bulgy fenders which usually never make it to the production model.

    POO IS COMING OUT!

The 5th gen 4runner is a fucking fatass. So were the 4th gens, and so are 3nd gen tacos.

    If I were gonna wheel a 4R, it'd be a 3rd gen.
