My truck identifies as a 4th gen. Lots of issues, not a single recall or public statement on the problems.

My teenage son was drooling over the tercel wagon with manual shift. To him it's only cool because Jesse from Breaking Bad had one. It's not for sale though. I was wondering if someone would point it out here. It's been in the showroom for a few years.

But dealers are out to deal and sooner or later someone will offer them enough that they will find a new car to draw attention with.

Sometimes, sure. Other times it’s just a buddy with a 68 chevelle that gets free air conditioned storage

Very cool. Sounds like power to spare. 15 MPG is a also tad better than what I get pulling 3000 lbs behind my V6. This would be the version of the new Tacoma (but not the trim) I would seriously consider.

From Consumer Reports preliminary test drive:

In the Tacoma, the 2.4-liter produces 317 lb.-ft. of torque at just 1,700 rpm, giving the truck urgency right from the start and the grunt to capably move a full load or pull a hefty trailer. The engine sounds aren’t loud, but they aren’t particularly enjoyable, either. The engine sounds a bit gritty, while the exhaust remains rather hushed. This is particularly notable during hard acceleration, such as merging onto highways or passing, especially when in a Sport mode. This isn’t out of character for a truck, but we’d favor a smoother sound, given the choice. Overall, power is strong, but acceleration isn’t thrilling.

Well Toyota can pipe some exhaust tunes into the cab like the Tundra or the owner can spring for something that is noisier.

White 2024 TRD OR on FB listed in Alabama. $46,606. Pretty much “base” model OR. Seems rare to find one w/o a bunch of BS dealer add on’s IMG_6341.jpg

That is essentially what I am interested in. Base TRD Off Road with just the multimedia upgrade.

Leaning towards Supersonic Red or Bronze Oxide.

I don't think it is possible to buy a Toyota in the southeast without that $600 scam optioned.

And unfortunately there's at least one buyer out there that will be okay with this or doesn't do their homework and realizes that not even Toyota charges extra for it.
