Corgis are cattle dogs. I can vouch for that as when I'm playing with Fritter, she goes after my feet like she's herding me and she is hands down the best ball retrieving dog I've ever had. She knows it's a game and wants to play so there's no fight getting the ball from her. She drops it and stares at you waiting for you to throw it.

For any that weren't aware, Corgis were bred with short legs so cows couldn't kick them.

Good Morning Everyone Have a Great Day,

I've heard Ice first, for sprains then alternate hot and cold after 4 days, strains cold the first time then alternate as needed.

My house got upgraded yesterday, it became a smart house, with a new smart meter. The sales pitch on the upgrade was right out of a con man manual. It will deliver smarter, cleaner and more stable electricity,. It will put me in charge of my usage. Wtf it won't turn off lights in rooms I'm not in, but it will send a message to my phone if (set it up) notices if I have spikes in power consumption. Like I'm going to put that on my phone. My camera is annoying enough.

Last March I was in Vegas at CONEXPO. I walked 41 miles in four days. In 2020 at the same exposition, i was responsible for our booth, our people, schedules, etc. I was out there two weeks and walked close to 80 miles.
    Screw that.
I am 61. I have learned my joints, much like bearings, have a finite life and my B10 life is showing signs of wear.
Last year was probably my last show. I have been 11 times in the past 30 some years. It's a young man's game out there and, even though my responsibility has changed at work they will probably ask me to go next time. I will be 64 and will politely decline.
I can still walk the miles and am still in good shape but I now choose to use my finite joint life on other things, like chasing my granddaughter and crafting things in my shop. Not walking 41 miles to look at machines and shake hands. I have finally made it to old man status. What a ride.

I’m playing watch repairman today. She bought this watch at a thrift store for $2, jewelry store said they can’t replace the crystal, I said I could try! Ordered some diamond grit polishing compound and wool polishing bits from Amazon, I think it looks better.

Hit the ox cart festival today. We walked another 11 kms or 6½ miles, half going uphill all the way, then back down.

A couple of interesting vehicles along the route today.

And of course some oxen and their handlers. It was great to see so many kids involved!

    IMG_20240310_195741.jpg

I was impressed that a street sweeper and water tanker were close behind the last pair. There were 223 pairs (they were sequentially numbered).
    IMG_20240310_195216.jpg

I only saw a couple of teams get restless all day. They probably walked close to 3 miles uphill, stopping constantly for pictures and to chat with people. I was amazed at those 8, 9 or 10 year old kids that confidently handled those animals.

And of course the masquerados were there with a full band playing in the truck in front of them. :D
