Like most things I think the truth is somewhere in the middle with Scotty. Some good advice roughly in proportion to the bad.

At least his laugh is contagious to a decent chunk of people.

 

I saw a few of his videos and I refuse to use my free time on any of his videos. I prefer to watch paint dry.

The problem with YouTube content these days is rooted in the very business model of the platform. YouTubers need to keep cranking out content to keep the money flowing. The result is sensationalist content and content where they riff on about something that is not even that interesting. TFL drag races sports cars against full size trucks just because it is something to crank out. It's kind of silly, but that is the way of the world now. The upside is that legacy media aren't the gatekeepers anymore and independent people for overtaking them. Motor Trend, Consumer Reports, Road and Track, etc, are just part of media conglomerates who write favorable reviews to whoever is cranking out the most ad money.

 

It’s hilarious how many of you hate you tube and hate Scotty but clearly have watched plenty of his videos.

 

That is a clone or android. The real Scotty hates turbo's and always has.

I agree to an extent. If they made DCLB in manual, I would have bought that instead even if it cost me thousands in markup.
