Yeah, super sensitive to offset. I went from +15 to -10 and it was a bitch getting it all cleaned up to run stock size tires.

New place is much quieter and has a decent garage and backyard. Desert is close by for cruising around.
Unfortunately, nothing is ever going to happen to those people. It’s just the way it is down there, cops have known about the place for years. I’m just glad to be done with the place and out of there.
Life is way more chill. I’m grateful.

You cannot fix the world ... easier to live when you learn that sad truth. I moved out of my house for both warmer places and to get away from my pig-farmer neighbor trying to change the suburbs into a pig farm.

I will wave as I pass tomorrow since I hope Senator Hwy has some snow for my Tacoma to play in.

Thanks man. I’ll finally have the space and power for a welder which has been my next big need/want. Planning on doing subframe, gussets and double sheer everything up front in the fall. Will box, brace, etc the rear in the winter.

My wife and I will be in Show Low at the end of the month. Any one know of easy to medium trail options in the area? I generally use the AllTrails app but it doesn’t show a thing.

All trails is WEAK SAUCE for OHV Trails. I think they only reason they have them is because some hiking trails require you to OHV your but down a 10 mile trail to get there. I have better luck scouting them out on Gaia and Google Earth Pro. Some prefer On-X. PoTAYto PoTAHto.

How do you feel about Rim Road 300? Chevelon Canyon Lake?

That’s what I gathered. I’m heard about Gaia and on-x but haven’t looked into them, seems I’ll need to. I haven’t heard of either place you mentioned.

    Gaia is solid (and free)
Plus it synchs real easy between your phone and computer
    gaia.jpg

I also like Avenza (also free)
It has a free up to date Multiuse Vehicle Map (or something like that ) from coconino NF, which is kind of the last say on what’s a legal trail and what’s not in my neck of the woods. might be worth seeing if there is a similar usfs product for where you happen to be looking at
    cnf.jpg

for about 10-15$ you can also download the nat geo maps which are more geared towards hiking and better at showing terrain features

Rim Road was closed by Ranger Rick on Friday. Call ahead to be sure it is open. In fact all side-roads along 87 were locked up. If you go to Rim Road, Old County Inn (Pine) has good pizza.

Its closed on that side and up to the woodland lake. Further up towards Heber and all the way up to Hondah casino its open year round. There are no gates.

Thanks for that. I went on a whim after work one day so was running out of daylight. Was planning on trying again.

Yeah you would need atleast 2 and a half hours to get up here to where its open. But they should be opening the Pine side April 1st I believe.

I'm an OnX guy, I find it to be a little more user friendly. Gaia is very powerful as well if you're a little more technical savvy. I'm not super proficient in either but have used both a handful of times.

No worries. If my trip was planned instead of WTF someone would have chimed in before I drove.
