    Yep.
Any possible modification so it can work with a tool box? (PatHLC128's truck) My box is going in this weekend.

If you can give me exact measurements I can do it,might have to add $40.00 for the extra time that would be involved. I notice your in NY I can tell you that the shipping would be around 140.00:eek: due to the size of the package. If you close to Syracuse(sp) I may be able to cut that almost in half. Oh and thank you for your service and thank you to all our Military personel....

 Way cool! I'll check out your gallery and get my thoughts together. Yeah, ordering bumper and rack together to combine the shipping was exactly what I had in mind. Looking forward to working with you...lotta folks on here speaking up for you!

Gave the toolbox thing some thought...I think your design will accomodate my tool box with one simple (my assumption...again, not a fabricator) modification: My tool box has a 12 inch lid (front to back), if you made the side rail tube tall enough to accommodate the lid swinging on a 14" diameter, it would fit right in there.

Making the rack wider to accommodate the box between the side rail tubes would be odd looking in that the rack would be significantly wider than the cab, IMHO. Thoughts?

And again I posted here instead of PM because others my be thinking about the same issue with the toolbox.

I'm getting stoked about the idea of adding this to my truck!

Ok everyone that has asked for shipping quotes either here or pm's. I sent the request for quotes out this morning to Fastenal and it takes them a couple days to get back to me with the shipping quotes. So as soon as i find out I will pm everyone with the shipping quotes. Thanks again

I got ya.Ok from the top of the bed rail to the center of the hinge, what is that height?

Hinge 1" from top of bed side rail.
    Tool box lid measures 13" L x 62.5" W x 2" H (referencing orientation on truck).
When open, top edge of lid (highest point) is 13.5" above bed side rail.

    Thanks, Rob

Just wanted to state out here publicly...Ironman44bear (Billy) is a great guy. Due to outrageous shipping costs, it's not gonna work out for me to buy his headache rack. But he took this with complete understanding and the offer to provide advice if I can find a local fabricator...IMO that's the sign of stand up man with integrity. Good on you Billy and best of luck with your business.

You know...that's a damn good question! Think I'll stop by their store here next time I'm over that way and ask. It's a long shot, but maybe it's possible to make arrangements from this end??? Not gonna get my hopes up, but figure it's worth dropping by next time I'm in the neighborhood. :notsure:

Its been done before but not on a major scale. Even if it isnt major scale I'd still want one.
