Nice quote, made me look up this page, but the quote is generally referred to Yogi.

Pond fishing is great! Relaxing and you have time to talk with your fishing buddies. You never know what you will catch in a pond. Hope you had a great day fishing.

Good morning. This week is spring break so there are no classes, no Chair Yoga or music. Today I will give blood and then off to a Spa and Grill business to pick up a BBQ sauce and maybe two bags of pellets. Back home to watch episode one of the recent Dune series to get ready to go to the theater for episode 2 of the trilogy. Somehow thy turned the 80's movie into a trilogy. The original movie is actually decent for a Si-Fi movie with a decent cast and special effects for the time.

    Everyone have a great dy.

We have a Whirlpool set, about 10 years old, so far so good.:fingerscrossed: Curious about Maytag, they used to be top shelf.

Fishing was tough yesterday. Buddy got a keeper yellow perch and a nice crappie. His wife caught 1 nice little large mouth and a decent little smallmouth. I caught the biggest fish, an 18” largemouth can’t keep bass over 14” though. Had a plate size crappie on until almost time to pick him up. I think I had my drag set for the bass and pulled the hook out of its soft mouth. Tough fishing overcast and cold 48*…weathermen missed it again! Still a fun day.
Wifey got me a new book at the library. War story of Audey Murphy, Macius Britt, General Ware, of course ego man Patton. Started out pretty exciting from North Africa to the invasion of Sicily. A tough bunch of men!
Cracker Barrel breakfast this morning with my Irish bud born on St Patrick’s day.
Finally I’ll be planting spinach this afternoon. Want to get it in the ground before the next snow on Thursday then we might get fresh spinach the end of April.
Another busy day for this young man! Hope you all can make this a good one!

Whirlpool is still assembled in the US but from imported parts, quality has gone way down. Same with maytag. Maytag used to be great but not so much anymore. I remember as a kid my mom had a set of maytags that had to be 25 years old. I almost went with the maytags at a third of the cost of what I paid for the speed queens but the warranty wasn't as good and online reviews of them where not real good either. I'm just so tired of repairing old washers and dryers, so I purchased the best I could. These should cary me well into retirement. 3.5 years away.

That was my plan when I got my 21 taco. Hopefully last truck I'll buy. Still working, had it 3 years and just turned 10k on it. 3 more lease payments to go and then I'll buy it. I refuse to pay what they want for new vehicles today, I don't want to a second mortgage. And I have no interest in the new tacoma, they ruined it.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Pals & Sue . Here at TX. Orthopedics to get the wrap removed, and a new splint. Wife did some one handed trimming while I cleaned in the yard. Some progress. Not too happy with myself tho, 15 minutes and a break, then 10 minutes and winded and a break, finally 5 minutes, winded and dizzy and a break. Then I quit. Chest hurts far too much...

Edit, that was over the 4 hours, but still

That would make a good hood ornament on a round body, early fifties Chevy.

We bought a set of Maytags 15 years ago for $500. The last of the mechanical transmissions that they made, which made them ultra-reliable. Don't plan on replacing them for another thirty years or so.

    Morning all:

I think most of us are WAY YOUNGER mentally, but when it comes down to doing what we could do when we were that age we are quickly reminded that those days are far behind us!
When we get a deer I quickly get reminded that the old grey mule sure aint what he used to be, UNLESS those 110lb buck now weigh 500lb which is what it seems!
