Shop Time w/T.W. Friends

I think most people are streaming now adays. FM radio around here is abhorrent and now SiriusXM is declining rapidly. I have XM in the truck, but I didn't get a subscription on the Camry. I pay $5 a month for Pandora and it works fine for me. Had to get a new phone though; my old 4G phone was getting a little difficult keeping signal.

 

I still listen to FM radio. I hate streaming shit

 

Well, you live in an area that's more diverse than where I live. There are a couple OK stations around here, but 15 minutes of commercials after a 9 minute music block each time, yea no.

 

Yea. No good.

I just don't have the patience to dial up the usual streaming options. I gave up my Amazon music because I didn't care for a lot of the songs they toss at me.

If I do stream, it usually the FM classic rock stations that I normally listen to. Lol.

 

I was sitting there waiting to pick up my new phone yesterday and had to listen to FM as my old phone was about dead. Every single station had commercials at the same time

 

I feel like making the switch to some type of music streaming service will be in the near future. I kept the Sirius XM service for a couple years on both the Jeep and the Tacoma but a single service that run off the phone seems more economical option.
The issue with this new tuner in the car is I'm having difficulty navigating my music off the thumb drive. I studied the owners manual a bit and still not getting it to cycle to different folders (over 100 cd's).
I have been enjoying the Sirius XM trial in the 4runner but it seems after some time it's all the same songs pretty much.
4runner I don't think it even has a thumb drive port.
In other news, my sister likes my 4runner so well that she has a Pro model expected in a month or so. Her current explorer although older only has a little over 100k miles and falling apart, mainly transmission issue.

 

I hate commercials, wife upgraded spotify account and it dropped users preferences. I had to listen to commercials and i couldnt skip more than 6 songs per hour on MY play list. Got home and got everything back to normal...i know...first world problems

 

I just realized the moon is more useful than the sun. The moon gives us light at night when it's dark. The sun shines in the day when we don't need it cause it's light.

 

My task at work today is to look at jobs associated with our October shutdown this year. I've got most of the work for machinist work done but a few more are hanging out there and a few tweaks made to others needs addressed.
Oh..then sometime today I need to go get field measurements of a door's bottom strike plate where the inactive leaf locks down into.
I made a sketch when originally doing the walk down of the job but believe it must have been purged during a desk clean

I've really like Pandora over Spotify. They seem to have some really obscure stuff that I actually listen to. And it's only $5 a month for no ads and unlimited skips.

If I had to stream I would be on iHeart radio where I can listen to my station.

 

Biggest scam I had was when Sirius joined XM. Same company until you try to take the services inside & mobile. Then they want you to pay twice.

I agree. The free trial is fine, but after it ends, Im already tired of the same songs shuffled. I can do that from my own playlist and even cross genres.

 

I kinda expected a good respawns.
