06 tacoma hub torque

can't seem to find a hub nut torque spec for a 06 tacoma 4x4. much help appreciated.

 

I think it's 175 foot pounds... let me double check.

 

ok I was a little off... 173 ft/lbs handy website for all the PDFs of the manuals....

 

i assume drive nut, (sucks cv through back of bearing) and also the hub with the lugs on it, how does that come out of the bearing?

 

Press.
Best bet is to take it somewhere and have them press the old ones out and new ones in. Unless you have a press and even then it sucks.

i can't even get the bearing off without getting the f*ckin hub off first, nevermind a press to push it out! the 4 bolts loosen off but can't fully come out due to hub.

 

you might have to use a bearing puller to get the hub/bearing assembly to pop off once you get the bolts loose.

sorry i posted before i read that article, (my bad), bearings are off and in the shop getting hubs swapped over, thnx for the information very much appreciate it.

 

I feel your pain man. I did them a few months ago and it's a motherf**ker.

 

Toyotaco06, any tips on doing the bearing swap? I am getting ready to do both in my 05 4wd. Thanks!

 

Anyone reading this thread, Rock Auto has full hub assemblies. I just did mine, super easy if you don't need to swap bearings.
