I’ve been lurking this thread for months trying to convince myself to go 285s and I finally made the switch. Thanks fellas, some nice rigs in here.

Was there a discernible ride quality improvement when you switched to the Ironman rear springs?

I’m still on blocks in the back and need to make that leaf upgrade.

Thoughts on 285/75r16 on a 16x8 - 12 wheel with 1.5 inch front lift? Think I would need a cab mount chop?

Most likely yes...negative offset and 285s is going to require CMC. Though depending on alignment specs you might get away with mild rubbing for city driving but any off-roading you can expect the tire will be hitting the cab mount. Loads of people on here do some great CMC work. I had mine done by a member ( @Ricardo13x ) it's so clean it looks factory.
If you want 33's without a CMC look at the pizza cutters.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Facts, alignment play an important role with these platform. 255/85R16 is the way to go on the narrow side. They perform super good.

70 vs 75 regards to trimming? Seems like 70 is the way to go, but Im really liking the way the 75's look. Much trimming involved for 75? 3" inch lift on my 15 tacoma. Will be getting the TRD 17" Flat Bronze 17 X 7 rims. Thanks yall!

What do you think about this set up? I have done a lot of research but would really like to see what others off roaders with a lot more experience think.
I want to do a 2" lift - well actually Bilstein 5100 front and back plus an Icon AAL for a 2“ lift in front 1.5“ in the rear.
    As far as wheels and tires - DX4 Terrain 16x8 wheels with a +10 offset with 285/75R16 E rated 32.8“ KO2s

I am thinking the +10 offset will 1.) keep the tire away from the UCA (pretty much same distance where they are now) and 2.) help with eliminating rubbing. But since I want this for going off road would it be a good idea to:
1.) do a CMC and a viper cut - would this allow me to even go bigger with 34s
2.) would I need a little stiffer springs up front if I wanted to do a sway bar delete for a more down travel (saw this on the Tinker YouTube channel)

Well when I switched to the Ironman leafs, they come are made to compensate for the tacoma lean issues. No more lean for me. The springs stiffened up the the rear. I like it because I am able to tow my trailers. I ended up taking off the 3 inch blocks and went to the 2 inch
