2 hours later and……. It’s canceled. Problem with the plane. Have to get off the plane and go find out about rebooking

 

Perhaps a HW hunting opportunity in disguise!

 

Got onto another flight but we missed the connecting flight so rebooked that but have to hang around the airport for 4 hours. I’ll take a look around and see if any shops have any.

 

As if getting an RLC exclusive isn’t difficult enough sometimes, not Hot Wheels RLC is starting the “Overdrive” upgrade so those that want to fork over an extra $99 for that upgrade can get a “pre-purchase” on the club exclusives. UGH!

 

Made it to DC. Looked through a couple stores on the way to are gate. Didn’t see anything but a couple of no name cheap cars, the none package ones. Have 3 hours to kill before the next flight

 

Scored these today, already had a set but couldn’t pass up a 20% hot wheels coupon my local grocery store was offering. Going to attempt to trade it or sell it. If anyone interested let me know.

Stuck at the airport again. Plane was delayed because of some mechanical issues. I know it’s a hot wheels thread, just venting. Telling us at least a half hour now.

 

I had a really bad addiction years ago. For about two years straight, I bought up every Mopar I could find. There is a Trans Am and GNX mixed in there somewhere though...



Plastic tote is completely filled with Hot Wheels and a I several cardboard boxes filled with 1:24 die casts.

 

Visiting my daughter last night and stopped at Walmart....saw two M2 boxes on the pallet. So I guided them to a shelf and took a peek. Nothing in one box that interested me anyways....but the other box made me happy. No chases. And then I was about to leave and saw two TH behind the loaded bin of older stock...so finally got me a Ram TH and more Chargers.

Gotta mellow out on my HW purchases for just a short time. We should be closing on our first home purchase here at the end of the month. A nice half acre lot with a beautiful home, pool and privacy. On that lot is included a back house of sorts “aka the collectable room” which is pictured below. It is fully insulated, has 2 ac units and is currently being utilized as a bar/ man cave. I am a superintendent for a 100+acre facility and by trade specialize in landscape architecture that focuses mostly on turf management, irrigation installation, tree care, flower/plant cultivation, and the list goes on. In other words I’ve got major plans for the new casa. The lady and I are stoked about the extra space the new collectable room out back will bring. Figured I’d share with y’all.

Hemi Xpress is sitting just right up front but needs help in back. Ill have to take it back apart. Ive done this to several of these wheel standing trucks and a couple sat lower afterwards than they should be. Ill have to see what the difference is between those trucks. This truck is actually in my area and I photographed it a few years ago at the Motor Meet in Medina. Ill try to find the pictures. The other 2 received wheel swaps and details.

 

Sorry I couldn't pull up pictures I took but I also drew it. The cartoon of my truck was beside it so I posted it as well. Also drew my Galaxie that I sold last year. Its over in Pennsylvania now. Retiring in 3 months. Ill have more time to get back into doing this stuff again.

 

Stopped at a Dollar General...I knew this one was always a little nasty but I was close and wife gave me permission to look LoL. This is what I was greeted with upon entry...I saw and grabbed the yellow El Camino's DG exclusive as I didn't have one yet. Of course I had to push the carts out of the way to see....and there was no other car boxes in carts or I would have stocked it for them.
