Not doubting the facts, but I bet that barn-owner raises beers with the constabulary on a regular basis.

Ha Ha! Could not be possible, because there are several counties in this area that are 100% dry as far as alcohol sales permitted and I think this was one those areas. :):)

But seriously, the case was closed and there were no reports of any family or friends of the deceased coming forth to dispute it.

This is spot on. It’s sad because I bet they’re netting like $100-200 selling the material they salvage from one job. The lengths thieves will go to and make minimal profit baffles me. Put all that energy and effort into a legitimate side hustle and they’d make more money and be a contributing member of society.

It's not difficult to do unless you live in an area that has neutered their law enforcement and encourages crime by failing to punish it.
America has become soft on crime over the years.
I'll leave it at that because i don't want to get political but the rise in crime has become ridiculous lately.

    minor tweaks
I worked in the electrical industry prior to retiring. A co-worker showed up at a site for an outage call and found the body of a copper thief laying on the floor still gripping bolt cutters attached to what was a previously energized medium voltage 4160V feeder cable. Apparently his body wasn't enough of a short for it to trip instantly, lets just say there was some circuit heating.

Something tells me if they knew a lick about "feeder cables" they wouldn't have gone poking around an electrical site with bolt cutters, but we know all too well criminals aren't always smart...

Purchased Toyota Certified, with Vijay bumpers, additional lights, and Falken Wildpeaks on Fuel rims. Prev owner apparently painted the grill.
Cali-Raised, As a manual transmission owner, I would like to ask if there are any plans to release Cat shields for us?

At this time our priority is on the 2024 Taco products. It's possible we may release it in the future, but not anytime soon with our engineers focused on other projects.

You have to go another brand of cat shields if they have no plans for manual trans models. I went with Miller Cat, cost of it is cheaper than getting cats replaced.

I don't remember the brand but it's the one you can buy from toyota/dealer. They offer it in aluminum or steel. I got aluminum since it's cheaper and lighter.

I put a CaliRaisedLwd set on yesterday. 30 minutes on the car ramps. Super easy install. A wonderful set!

During COVID, a business near my location, got catalytic convertors ripped off from all their company vehicles, probraly their insurance took care of it. Got them all replaced. At that time, never had fence around their property, but now they have.

For sake of argument, If my cats get stolen, OEM is the only option to replace them? or aftermarket will do the job? (no, my didn't get stolen)

I have not heard anything good about aftermarket cats on Toyotas.
