Do you know what the amount of rear lift is you have from your leafs with those and your added weight?

unfortunately no idea. lol its all been in stages over the last like 10 years and leafs have been rebuilt/re-arched during that time a couple times, to accommodate the changes.

In his defense, that is how it's done on first gen Tacomas and 3rd gen 4runners, from what I understand. It's stupid easy in comparison to the other trucks. But a 4th gen 4r is probably similar to a 2nd gen Tacoma.

Exactly what it is. But I still fucked up thinking it would be somewhat the same.

true.. and I do remember doing that on @Milota95 1st gen just a few weeks ago now that you say that.. wasnt as bad for sure. but then when doing his LCAs.. the bolts hit the rack, so that's why we had to remove the rack. lol

Man I do not miss wrenching on trucks because of little nonsense like that lol most I've done since I sold my truck was swapping out the suspension on the 4R, which took a couple of hours at most.

I forgot all the little nuances between the 1st and 2nd gen too. Ive had my two 2nd gens since 2006.. but did have a first gen before that.. but that was 20 years ago.. lol

I am also finding I do not like working on them as much anymore.. lol between age, my work and working on the trucks the last 15 years has me not really enjoying it as much as I used to.

But I do know my 2nd gens... lol

Near the end of my Betty white era I found myself dreading all the maintenance on it. Loved the wheeling but the upkeep and post wheeling repairs was annoying. Plus I just don't have that much free time anymore now that I have a kid. I can't hole myself up in the garage for 20 hours a week working on it. The dirt bike scratches that off road itch for me and since it's brand new, requires very minimal upkeep.

pretty much me (minus the kid part). But between personal life and working on my career and it taking off and the shop just constantly growing.. it seems to take up most of my time and mental capacity. I just dont want to "work" on the truck when I'm off work on even the weekends. I do enough heavy lifting and or mental lifting all week. I just want to enjoy the Taco and use it more than work on it. I also just bite off more than I can chew most times and end up in a hole or a project turns into a much larger one. "might as well" kind of thing..

Right now the interior is torn apart and its parked in the backyard while @Aw9d helps out with some wiring.. it also needs some cooling system work since its leaking all over the belts.. just on and on.. lol

That's how my truck snowballed into what it was, because apparently I have no chill.

Still an avid wrencher and Can say I'm getting beat. I love working on it, but come summer time it's not as enjoyable. The late sunsets are a bonus to extend the day but that quit time goes that much longer. Honestly I need a fucking lift, complete game changer to get off the ground.. So @XPOTRPR you wanna do my rack to Polly! lol and the seals:rofl:
