I read the thread. The link you had provided. My switch may have gone bad. My switch door and on position functions as it suppose to, but the off position only dims the light and not completely turns it off. So I will get another switch and see if that solves the problem.

I hope that's it and you don't need to go back into the headliner or deep into the panels again.

I'd also had disconnected the switch and the result was the cargo lights stayed on dim.

Makes me think it may be a grounding problem?

I don't know...it could be a grounding problem, but I never had this problem before and I had this mod for years now. I'd checked the seal around the housing and it still looks solid.

Not sure where to check the ground for the cargo lights.

Ohh no...if it's a grounding issue, the negative wires for all 5 KC lights are tied together and are connected to the oem ground wire which is all behind the lights.

Are your map & dome lights LED?

Yes they are. They're both the Meso dual color ones.

This happened to me with a different vehicle, I am not a wiring expert, but I suspect the reduction in draw from halogen to LED is causing them to stay lit, that circuit is still getting the same amount of current.
For me everything performed as it should when I switched back to OEM halogen.
Again, I am not a wiring expert, but could possibly be resolved with capacitors or reducers in line perhaps.

That would make sense, but I had this set up for years now, probably 3+ years and it's the first time I have ever experience an issue with the cargo lights being on dim with the switch set to the off position.

For a simple test, you might reinstall OEM halogen interior lights, and check if problem persists.

oh, ok, well that might be a whole different problem then. I hope you get this resolved, I've been watching this thread and waiting for MESO to release their billet 3rd brake light.

I'll give that a try if I can find the oem halogen bulbs.

Any chance you might have a VLED bed light kit installed?

I do not have a VLED bed light kit installed on my truck. But good news is, after I had gotten off work I had reinstalled the fuse for the cargo lights in the cab and it looks like everything is back to normal. I'll have to double when it gets dark to make sure the cargo lights aren't on dim. But as of right now it doesn't appear to be on with the switch set in the off position.

I don’t have the dual lights, but otherwise same (all led). Never had this issue. I’d suspect a short somewhere is the cause. If it occurs again, check your wires at places you’ve accessed for possible pinch, rubbing or abrasions to the wires.

I'd checked last night and early this morning and the cargo lights remained off while the truck off and the switch was in the off position. Everything had returned back to normal. I'm hoping it doesn't happen again for the next 3+ years, but I'll keep a watchful eye on it in the mean time.

Thanks to everybody that had provided useful knowledge and shared their input.
