Of course, that led directly to a link for the “remastered” anniversary edition of the original whale video lol. Well, thank goodness it’s remastered…I guess:rofl:

The reasons I removed the differential drop kit is because I started experiencing a grumbling at crawling speed without any braking. just putting along. (Why I cleaned the MAF, too, but that didn't entirely cure it.)
Also because it really only lowers it about 0.4" and I'd rather have that 0.4" back in clearance.

Whatever it was, the problem is gone.

Edit: My mind went drop kit because it creates an extra metal on metal contact between diff arms and frame and maybe it loosened or something.

I wouldn't go as far as saying productive.
Had to use our Gammerler rotary trimmer that I use 1 time/year.
Extra conveyer and a different stacker get linked in, as well.
"Where does this one plug in, again?"
Then to top it off, my boss likes to believe junk paper, he got credit for, is free paper.
He brought out a roll of paper that I had written "tried 3x" on it. Apparently if you leave it sit in the warehouse a couple of years it'll get better. o_O
Guess what? It's still no good. :D
    Rant over.

I thought when you buy a newer Toyota that means you are free from having issues! :angrygirl:My truck is making an unpleasant high pitched sound when above 2400 RPMs whether driving or in park. My guess is one of the pulleys is going bad as it sounds a little more mechanical than just a worn belt.....

    Very productive today.
Woke up and glad my heart is still beating. Took a 2 mile walk. Tossed a stick in the pond for the dog to retrieve. Just watched it float away.
Went to work and doing a whole lot of nothing.

Well... Not feeling overly social as my world has been tossed upside down. Not sure what's up at the moment but my wife's tenured teaching position at Northland College is coming to an end, it seems. College announced they are in financial trouble and... well, it appears they are closing. 16 years of service and just done. Not much of a thank you. Wife is already looking for jobs-Maine, Kentucky etc etc. Not sure we are staying in the Northlands much longer... I was hoping to retire soon, but looks like work is on the event horizon for a bit longer. I do know that starting over is expensive. Also soon to have two girls in college... Yup. Sitting here pondering the future... Not much truck thinking taking place so haven't been stirring things up... My locker and regear are forever going to be just out of reach it seems. But Arkansas is a week out now! Something to look forward to for sure.

I just finished a busy 12hr day on 3.5hrs of sleep is I am beat. T hat's what I get for going to see The Surfrajettes last night at Shank hall. I was a good show and I do not regret going, but it will definitely be an early night tonight.

Oh man that totally sucks all around. Whatever happens I'm sure you will find some good trails to explore. I am so looking forward to Arkansas too.

Man, that's some rough news... Lots of schools seem to be closing up due to financial trouble. Cardinal Stritch down here, where my wife attended, closed recently and now we just heard that UWM is closing their Waukesha campus. I really hope your wife lands a good promising position and I hope you're in a fun part of the country for exploring... But Arkansas! Let's do that first!

Damn, that sucks! On several levels!!

On a more positive note: I got my oil changed, both diffs and the transfer case flushed, extended my rear diff breather, redid the vinyl on the solar. Tested the portable shower...works like a champ!

Boat day here. So, nothing being accomplished other than getting a tan a drinking and eating well.

But, yesterday, in order to keep up with poor financial decisions, I managed to buy more Milwaukee tools at Home Depot yesterday.

    Time for a 4th gen.

Damn. Sorry to hear this, Pat! I know you guys will figure it out. I hope you don't have to relocate. But, if you do, we'll have to make a TW trip wherever you end up for some camping and shenanigans.

I don't know why, but I had been putting off the diffs/transfer case since I retired. When I forced myself to get on with it this morning, I was pretty anxious. No logical reason for it...hell, I built my own race engines, had been inside transmissions, rebuilt my own shocks, etc. In the back of my mind, though, I was so apprehensive that one of the drain/fill plugs wouldn't come out. All for nothing...
