The chainsaw looks very appealing for clearing down trees on trails. If I didn't have a nice Husqvarna already, I'd be all over it!

I have the M18 Hatchet and it's a nasty little beast. Love it. It'll be coming along to Arkansas.

Have four chainsaws and just got this hatchet a couple of weeks ago. It only has an 8 inch bar and is about the weight of a cordless drill. Oregon makes the bar & chain for Milwaukee, both can be purchased for less money with the Oregon stamp on it. This little bugger honks!

Dang, sorry to hear that Pat. I know you guys will get it figured out but not fun at all. Don't quit dreaming, locker and gears will still be yours someday, sending positive thoughts. I know you are good with bikes and welding...how good are you at chemistry? I saw this TV documentary once about a science teacher who made some supplemental income...

100% agree everyone should swap that bastard of a hex plug. Will be the best $15 you'll ever spend.

I'm waiting for the 14" top handle saw combo to go on sale again and then I'm grabbing one. Supposedly they leak bar oil like a mofo but cut like a dream. I considered getting that 8" hatchet but every year for the past 6 or 7 years I've come across at least one trail that is blocked by something bigger than it could take care of and caused me a very long re-route. I think the 14" is about as big as I want to carry, and about as small as I think can handle those future problems reliably.

If anyone is considering the Squareone frame caps I have an extra set that I am not going to be using (my bumper came with an alternative). PM me if interested.

Thi is what 1200 pounds of steel on my already 6200 lbs truck looks like… might be a half an inch of squat. Maybe. Rides like a Caddy though

Pat sorry to hear the news. I'm not too worried though you and your wife are a resourcefull bunch and will come out better than you are now. It's just the short term that sucks! Maybe she should look for something in AZ. Lots of wheeling and Moab is a day trip away.

With the adventure awaiting in Arkansas, I felt that I should prepare for the clean up and scratch removal that will be needed upon our return. Perusing u tube, seems Dawn dish soap is pretty good at removing wax. I do need to get a bottle of a less aggressive final polish.

EDIT: After more investigation, I decided to use Chemical Guys Clean Slate to remove any wax.The video I found was very convincing.17104483529788578966797632891630.jpg

If you're wondering about the 4R's upper grill on the workbench, I have a new one.

No worries! It's sunny and 80 in Florida right now. :bananadance:

Maybe I'll have to come up early tomorrow for a sample. :D

Oh there will be some mods all right
Well, I said eff it! After seeing the estimated restocking date moved out to May, what's to say it wouldn't get pushed back even further as May approaches? I don't like any other options in 255 85 16 so I cancelled my backorder and am going to be going with the Kenda Klever RTs in 265 75 16. I have always loved how they looked but I was originally hesitant to run an E-load tire on my Tacoma but after running a D load tire (the Generals) I'm not so nervous anymore plus my adventures find me in some tough on tires environments so a stronger tire is probably a good thing. Also, the stiffness of the D rated tire actually made for good handling so that's a positive. I'll be saving some money vs the Falkens too which doesn't hurt anything. I almost went with the red letter option but decided against it because my tires are always dirty so it wouldn't even be noticable plus I think the red accents would clash with my truck anyway. I know I set out to get skinny 33s (and maybe some day I still will) but 265 75 16 is still a decent size plus this way maybe my winter tires will have one more winter left in them now that I won't be driving on them into May.

Kenda makes a skinny 35... just sayin. Might even solve some problems you didn't even know you had...
