    Why are you comparing "Bentonville"

You don't live a "Bentonville" lifestyle

I make the joke often about your rich lifestyle and all cause Bentonville does have some "nicer" areas but at the end of the day, it's still Arkansas

This constant talk about affordable this or that, expenses, you are your own worst enemy right now

    You.have.a.masters.

Use it, or quit complaining about the cost of anything

    Right? That's crazy.

Although in this economy (looking at you ozark) some people are willing to do anything like making someone disappear, for the right price

I heard on the radio this AM that he was found with the gun still in his hand, finger on the trigger....sounds like a sloppy suicide set up to me

And right now a few others are stuffing money under their mattress to overlook 'key details' while investigating this whole ordeal

I still lurk from time to time :D

Things have been pretty wild at work. We have simultaneous issues with our biggest customer and our biggest supplier and it’s not awesome. On top of that, my boss is getting more ridiculous every day demanding respect he hasn’t earned and providing zero value to me or the company. He had a completely childish PA spaz out this week and I’m running out of patience. I also spent the entire day yesterday doing his job better, which doesn’t help anything but my confidence, I suppose.

Gonna polish the resume and write a resignation letter this weekend just to start getting some contingencies worked out. Not planning on resigning anytime soon, but it would be nice to have that done and ready if the shenanigans get to be too much. I don’t wanna have to write it after shit has reached critical mass

That’s where the job is that I’m interviewing for. The University of Idaho is there.

The only really affordable places now are rural places where the wages are proportionally lower, so unless you live at home or work remotely it is what it is.

The fancy piece of paper isn't always worth what you think it is. Seems as though he did school but wasn't that interested in the topic he studied to pursue it after school?
The timing is odd. Certainly has a bad look, maybe that was his plan, to make Boeing look bad in a different way? Or it was truly a hit. It's a crazy world.

Sorry I can't keep up with all your tangents, what job at the university are you trying to get?

This, the paper isn't worth a whole hell of a lot these days, but the knowledge is useful once in a great while.

Do have to side here with you guys, mostly cause you're right

An education doesn't necessarily mean intelligence (or experience)

But, in certain sectors a degree is required just to be considered a potential candidate and where some might have both the experience and knowledge...he or she may lack a degree which makes them automatically ineligible (unfortunately)

That's often for shortcut reasons I've noticed, the degree (when not called out as a specific degree but just the requirement to have one) is often because they want evidence of one or both of these things. That you can stick through and solve your way through varied and often unrelated situations, and/or you can relate and converse with a variety of people on a variety of topics. Something someone without a degree could do surely but the degree shortcuts the tests for that really quickly since you spent 4+/- doing it already... I've always thought they should add a minimum of 1 year of retail work to the qualifications too. You never realize how shitty people can be and how much better you can be until you work retail.

Plenty of people are school smart and then have zero ability to apply it. There are those that are experts without a degree. Then folks have a degree and are useless like me :)
