Yeah, its weird how much overlap is creeping into the line up. Which may not be a bad thing?

    SJ Evo bleeds into Enduro
Epic Evo bleeds into SJ now

Theres a lot of overlap where its not so cut and dry on which bike for which segment.

This bike gives me Blur TR vibes. That was a super fun bike. I don't think I'm ready to do any kneepadless downcountrying yet though.

It looks like you’re in the Bay Area. Come down to Santa Cruz HQ for a demo. See details at their website. Decent trails are within 10 minutes ride from the shop. Last I checked they had at least the Blur TR in their fleet. I rode it around the showroom and I liked it :), but ended up getting a Ripley instead to replace my Tallboy2. Also in my experience Santa Cruz (the town) has been a good place to buy both SC and Ibis because they can just go over to HQ and get a bike depending on inventory. Another Bike Shop (ABS) for SC and Ibis and Spokesman for Ibis are both good shops (I have no affiliation with either).

    Mine. Selling 2021 Orbea Rallon.

Going to another Enduro bike next. Up in the air on 29er vs mullet honestly. reach on this is about 50mm too short for me honestly. Can sort something out with a deal for one of yall here since would be more inclined to trust yall than someone on pinkbike.

Nice when you can get 2 bottles on a full squish bike also.

i ask that question to myself a lot of times when i'm in TW. lol. "why am i telling anyone this? oh. right. bikes bike bikes"

i've heard biketiresdirect can be a good source if you're pretty vigilant for watching for deals on it.. but i haven't tried it personally.

I got to demo a 5150 recently and there is some advantage to the MX. If you’re on a tight trail and you suddenly want to accelerate uphill, it makes a bit of a difference. And it’s just easier to get the bike moving.

I had a Trek 69er 15 years ago, which was more extreme with a 29 inch upfront and a 26 inch up back.

I might build my spare chameleon frame MX in the near future.

    IMG_5100.jpg

Single speed with an inverted fork, 29 in the front front, 26 in the back. This thing was wild.

Ever since I've started riding the slack XC bikes, I have not even had the desire to throw a leg over the bigger bikes (Evil Calling/Insurgent).

Slack xc bikes are the way to go for a lot of riders. Obviously you know what you need…but it’s also fun. Also coming from a guy with a 120 and a 170 bike so I have the best of both worlds haha

The reach on that gen Rallon is oddly short!

Some unsolicited advice... Wash your bike before taking pictures to sell it!

Yea I'm lazy lol. don't have hose access in an apartment right now so its an inconvenience lol

Reach is short on some of the capras too. Was looking at that and was like oh I'd NEED an XL without a doubt. Maybe even XXL and a shorter stem

Get a weed sprayer like others have said in this thread. I keep one in my truck for muddy rides this time of year.

Anyone recently move from a 27.5+ bike to a 29'er recently? Trying to get a feel for where I need to set tire psi to.

Bonus points if you're on a 29'er 2.5f/2.3r and are about 220lbs. Should be down to 200lb riding weight in a month or two, but 3 achilles reconstructions is hard on someone who likes cheeseburgers.

Aim for 20-25psi as a starting point. Adjust as you see fit.
I hover in the 20-22psi front and 19-21psi rear on a 120 travel 29er. But I’m also ~145# fully geared up.

is the low psi because youre on a 29er? i normally put my tires around 25-27 up front and 27-29 in the rear on my 27.5 170/160. i used to ride around 20 when i first switched to tubeless but thought i was damaging my rims too much. cush core helped in the rear, but i was getting some bad wobble

    Here's some stats for you:
    I rubberband between 195-210lbs.
    I have a 27.5+ bike (27.5 X 2.8 f & r) that I run 21f & 25r. This is a fully rigid drop-bar ATB.
    My 29er (Firebird) is 2.5 front (23psi) and 2.4 rear (26-27psi).

I tend to run higher than "normal" tire pressure in the rear. 26-27psi is the breaking point for me to not have tire casings roll in berms/high speed turns. If I'm at a bike park, I'll bump those numbers up 1 or 2 psi. Hope this helps.

Honestly I dunno haha. That’s just the numbers I’ve kinda settled on. I’m sure I could add some psi, but so far so good. I’ve never been one to be prone to damaging rims or even flats, so no real reason to adjust so far. I’m sure I’ve just jinx that haha.

I agree with @backcountryj at 20-25psi. I 22 front and 24-25 rear. I’m a little bigger around 230. Running 2.5/2.4f and 2.4r on maxxis tires. Usually exo+ rear and regular exo front. My spire has a Double down rear if I remember correctly though.
