Yes, I’m sure it’s in Toyota’s best interest to tell me the truck I want is on a six month waiting list. Meanwhile, I can walk into Ford, Nissan, or Dodge and drive out the same day.

That's because they have inventories of 104, 112, and 153 days, respectively, while Toyota's is 36. They literally have more cars and trucks on hand than Toyota does, and so they're willing to make a deal and are more likely to have what you're looking for on the lot.

They are certainly doing a good job at that with the 4th gen. I still haven’t seen one in person yet.

I don’t need to be an economist with a fancy degree to know that if somebody won’t sell me something I’m probably not gonna buy it.

There’s more to it than that with the big 3. When I worked for Ford they threw big rebates out there regardless of days supply to capture market share. 48 years best selling truck moves iron more than, most reliable, longest lasting, most American made, etc.

You get out much? I have stood next to 5 on dealer lots, driven 2, and seen another 20 or so on transport trucks.

I have not seen any either, only been to 1 dealer though. But I drive all over the Northeast. Even the new Tundra seems to be pretty rare up here.

I saw a black one yesterday. Thought it was a Colorado until it went by and I saw the tailgate.

I have not seen any here in MA. I got an email from a dealer yesterday that they just got in one sport.

    New cox out....

Total inventory grew 0.13mm month over month. industry days of inventory dropped 4 days (Toyota down 2) as sales volumnue picked up.

    Incetives continue to grow.

Dealer sentiment up, but still worried.

Stare them in the eye and just say no to bullshit spay in bed liners, predator steps, charging cables, blah blah garbage or MSRP. If you aren't at least 5% off on Toyota you are living in the past

You really need to go shopping in the Gulf States region for a reality check.

Inventory is down because of demand, so prices should drop?

Total inventory is up. Days of supply is down based on their current inventory / 30 days of sales.

Jan is the weakest month of the year. Sales picked up..... Inventory levels grew. Discounts increased. The rudder is ruddering. Don't feed the machine. New Tacoma's are already being discounted. I like it

It’s surprising how rare some models are in the Northeast. Even the new Tundra seems elusive. Hopefully, more will show up at dealerships soon!
