No, that hose should not do. Try checking your pcv. But the p0101 is for mass air flow sensor. It may be related to the TRD intake tube. Some people have had problems with them.

Thanks not sure what that hose is even for but that would mean something is clogged?

And Justin has already educated me and is "mapping" for it because of that intake.not sure what that means but I'm glad hes seen it before

It is the fresh air intake to the motor for the PCV system.

I'll have to search the forums and see why it's getting collapsed. Thanks buddy you did the hard part for me :anonymous:

Is the pic you posted with engine running, and - if so - does the hose relax when you shut if off? It’s collapsing under vacuum from the intake. Probably the wrong material or just a bad batch. I’d replace it.

FYI, look where it is; behind the MAF but before the throttle body. There’s another one going from the PCV valve to the intake but behind the throttle body (this why also why only one side of the butterfly gets gunked up). Intake vacuum pulls crankcase gases (including blow by) thru the PCV valve into the cylinders to be burned again, but in order to avoid a vacuum in the crank case, it has to have a fresh air inlet… hence the ventilation part. Does a lot more than your road draft tube of yesteryears

Gotcha that makes sense. I grabb
Ed it straight from Toyota just a few k miles ago, so I'll see how easy it will be to replace it

Did you cut off the end of the intake tube up to the second bead/stop? If you didn't the tube will block both the crankcase vent and vacuum hose.

I'm trying to reread this over again trying to understand, but I think I'm falling short, I just followed the instructions in the box but I don't remember doing that?

He’s asking how far the black intake tube (from the air filter) is slid into the red coupler. If too far it would block the vent line, hence the collapse.

The throttle body on a NA engine is farther away from the air box than on a SC engine. Take the tube and coupler off, push the coupler onto the tube to where it sits when installed and look inside the coupler. If it blocks those ports, cut the tube to the next stop. It'll be obvious if your good or not. The instructions neglect to mention the part about shortening the tube if needed.

    Good morning boosted brothers,
Here is my invoice from SCOL for all new double roller idlers, with the exception of one that they do not have a replacement for. When I get them I’ll post pics of where they go.

I have been doing some thinking about why my idlers have been failing much quicker than what it seems others on here. I am starting to wonder if maybe it’s from the rpm belt being too tight for my setup putting a lot of load on the bearings. I have no proof of this so I am not sure but I may look into a belt swap. I’m running stock tensioner with stock belt length and a 2.85 pulley, no additional wrap idlers added.

So quick question.. I have these Thorley LT Headers on my 09 FJ Cruiser. Do I understand correctly that these would work for my 14 Tacoma for SAI delete with a 2012+ gasket? I think I read that here on this thread somewhere but hoping someone could confirm..

    Home run…

I took the truck out for a test drive today. Wow, talk about a night and day difference! Absolutely no noticeable belt slip whatsoever. Boost comes on nice and steady with the 2.55 pulley, just right imo for the x-runner.
Here’s a quick pick I took on the highway, too much traffic to go WOT, but a couple quick bursts. I’m guessing I was between 3/4 and 7/8 throttle when I took the pic. AFR’s richen up more if I really get in it.
Seconds after this pic I was on the brakes, too much traffic at 2:30pm around here, but still I’m more than happy with the results I felt during my short test drive.

My Bosch AFR sensor shit the bed last fall, so now using a newly installed Denso, and that seems to be working well. The only other thing I did to it other than everything else I’ve already mentioned is to install the bigger Wix XP oil filter when I changed the oil today.

Again, my hats off to all who helped me get this fixed!

Seibon! Fitment is pretty on point. Being meticulous it’s about 7-8 mm too narrow overall. But splitting the difference makes it look good enough compared to OEM.

I sent them a note to see. Maybe if we get a decent size order of 10+, we can get something we can pass on. Who would be interested that already does not have solid motor mounts? No guarantee, but if we have a group interested, it could sway. It is also likely with a wait as long as you don't mind waiting.

I'm in no hurry and would be interested in motor and transmission mounts.
