Don’t really rock crawl just off-road, what’s the best bang for my buck. I want ball joints because I’m not constantly off-road. I just want my 35s to be in the best shape.
Looking towards some used total chaos or new dirt kings. Also my rear end tends to bottom out what’re the cheapest options for leaf springs? I don’t add much weight to my bed, just don’t want my rear end to keep bottoming out over bigger bumps
(Kings are already installed in the front and rear)

If the LCAs are stock and you’re not looking for adjustment from a UCA, this isn’t a weak point.

If your 35s are so wide that you’re rubbing the UCAs and don’t want to change the tire, wheel, or add spacers, let us know that and we can offer suggestions of UCAs with ball joints that give more clearance.

Otherwise, spend your money on gusseting the spindle since you’re running 35s.

Doesn’t it limit my cvs? Plus I’m running kings so I feel like it will help, and maybe I should give it like a 1inch lift

Um. What? No. Changing the UCA (unless going to a long travel setup) will not change the effective travel of your suspension.

For the rear, I’d get some “cheap” insurance like durabumps or superbumps. Also, I would recommend installing an add-a-leaf, but I’m confused how with an empty load you are bottoming out.

I said nothing about the travel lol I said the cv axels… it limits them when you turn the wheel.

It’s a common misconception/misunderstanding/marketing lie that an aftermarket UCA will give you more travel. Unless you have WAAYYY to large diameter coils up front that are binding with your stock UCA (unlikely), this is not an issue.

It more so bottomed out when I went through a big dip when going like up hill. It doesn’t happen really it just happened once and it sounded awful I don’t want it to come close to that if I’m off-roading hard. Just more so trying to prevent.

You’ll need to be more specific. “Doesn’t it limit my cvs?”

I can place an educated guess that MAYBE you are wondering if a spindle gusset will limit your turning radius. I don’t know fire sure, but I don’t think so. The only “issue” I know of with most spindle gussets is that you can’t use the sway bar. The upper ball joint in the UCA has no mechanical limitations to how much it can rotate, so no- it can not limit your “cv”

For the infrequent occurrence like this a durabump or superbump will be fine for you.

If you were doing it a lot more often, I’d recommend an air bump or if more extreme, rear shocks with adjustable high and low speed compression with remote reservoirs.

Definitely not worried about gussets lol I’m trying to maximize my suspension I’m not trying to get more travel.. there’s a lot of people who say upper control arms help a lot, hence why they sell upper control arms with shocks.. its even recommended by every known company like fox and king. So I guess you must know better than them enlighten me I’m listening to everything but you’re definitely assuming a lot.

I’m just trying to save people money. Here’s one source with solid engineering methods of measuring to show you what I’m talking about.

Are you currently lifted? How's your alignment numbers? What exactly is your reasoning for wanting after market uppers?

I feel it, I forgot to mention the main reason I’m worried about the front is because that actually bottoms out or something sounds weird and it’s not even over big bumps I think it’s because the tires are so big they might be hitting plastic but I feel like it’s the upper control arm hitting something. Kinda hard to tell?

Remove your coilovers and cycle the suspension with the tires on. You'll find out really quick what's touching what

I don’t think it’s lifted I just bought it a few months ago and it came with kings the alignment is good I don’t know the numbers but my front shocks sound like they bottom out or something is hitting. I don’t off-road too much but when I do I like to go hard on the trails or even driving on street I’ll go over bumped and the front suspension wil sound like something’s hitting

It sounds like you need to figure out your issues before firing the parts cannon at it.

in my opinion, 35s are too big on the Tacoma without the knowledge and labor put into reinforcing the weaknesses.

it sounds like you could have many many issues going on.
Do you have a cab mount chop?
Are the inner fender liners trimmed?
Is the pinch weld hammered or/and cut up?

So many questions, so little help we can give with the little to no info you have provided. We only now got to “it bottoms out (front AND rear) and sounds like maybe plastic rubbing”

No it’s all stock everything fits fine they might be 34s actually nothing is chopped or messed with it’s all complete. I’m almost certain it’s the upper control arm.

Not trying to shoot parts at it my guy lol you sound like you know too much and offer to little info let someone else reply that actually has these problems
I’m getting better answers from other people you’re speculating to much thanks for the help but save your time my guy you have too much to say and too little about what I’m actually talking about.
