TW automatically turns the word Amazon into a the generic link you clicked on. You have to post a link to the actual product to avoid the generic link.

This was my first thought. I’d love a set of those in my hunting trailer for early pre-hunt coffee

Its like coffee and a cigarette without the cigarettes lol I'd probably butcher a project like this and just be ingesting chunks of wood splinters..

Jack Daniel's chars the inside of all of their barrels... it's probably a better question to ask in the Whiskey thread for I do not know all the details.

I don't hate bourbon and I don't hate coffee.. I just don't drink them.. and I have no idea what Lacroix is so I probably don't hate that either.

Every sober person I know lives off lacroix or its equivalent. Essentially club soda with essence of some type of flavor

I own a treatment center and our monthly sparkling water budget for keeping the office stocked would be shocking to most outsiders

Anyone rocking the harbor freight wood lathe? Considering adding that to the collection. Reviews online seem pretty decent so I may pull the trigger.

You gotta start somewhere... try it out and see if you like the idea of a lathe then move up if desired

There is some good Chinese stuff, it's not all crap. And Taiwanese machinery is excellent.
My Laguna table saw and lathe are both chinese and very high quality, imo.

    Heavy use, lol.

I also have a harbor freight disc sander that's awesome, works well for the money.
    20231214_182638.jpg
@Dangerdave Now as far as their lathes go I've heard good and bad. The small benchtop lathe is ok to start out with and learn the basics for not a lot of money. It will teach you enough to figure out if you want to get into turning more or not. Remember the purchase of a lathe is only a starting pointe of going down the rabbit hole. All the tools and accessories will cost many times more than the lathe. But I think it's wise to just dip your toes in the water with the small bench top lathe and see if it's something you want to go further with. If you do decide you like it and want to get a full size lathe later I would recommend other brands over the harbor freight.

I'd buy Taiwanese all day long, just not Chinese, no matter how well it's made. Why help finance a country that is building a military with the sole purpose of trying to defeat us?
