4th Gen Tacoma (2024+)

Looks like my local dealer finally has one on the lot for demo. I am going to take it for a spin tomorrow, sandwiched between the to and from in my venerable 2019 Off-Road with 75K. While I am not intending to buy a 4th gen this year (or next), I want to see just how outdated my current ride actually is and feel the new powertrain.

Can you read, I know Toyota recalled 300 thousand but that's not what I meant or said . Ford did 30 recalls and probably had well over 1 million vehicles total over those 30 individual recalls

 

Toyota had recalls that affected 2.5 million vehicles in 2023.

Ford had 57 recalls (6,012,884 vehicles) in 2023.

Just so nobody has to keep making things up.

Sounds like they both suck to me.

 

I mean Ford was definitely worse overall but that doesn't apply to each and every model.

 

All manufacturers have problems and quality control issues and it seems to be worse since covid. It cracks me up when people like Thang try to justify why the brand they own is best.

So I just got back from my dealer to look at their 1 Tacoma. Sport in CSM. I did not get to drive it today as someone else was fondling it.

Just from a looks perspective, it is certainly more substantial in presence than the 3rd gen, or any previous Taco. I imagine I felt how 1st gen owners did the first time they saw a 2nd gen. New truck looks huge. Not sure how I feel about it, but the Tundra grew on me after awhile, I imagine the 4th gen might as well. Can't say I loved it though for sure. Weird bed crease draws your eyes to it which is unfortunate. Didn't notice door crease, but honestly the bed crease was kind of overwhelming me.

I'll have to schedule a test drive to give it more attention, but I honestly think the GM and Nissan trucks look better for now.

Front chin spoiler is no joke either lol.

 

Did that on wife’s RX (better color depth), I’ve stuck with CQuartz UK 3.0 on the last two tacos topped with reload just more durable and hydrophobic but agree does not match color hit like CSL with Exo does. Also find his stupid “bad paint” tag line. All oem paint looks like this from factory bro.

 

I did call him out on there cause he made a short saying he was “ceramic coating to protect it offroad” and was like nah bro easier to wash that’s it, ppf would be your better investment and some others told him same and he back pedaled after trying to argue.

 

So funny story.

I saw one in the wild leaving the mexican restaurant tonight in White, an OR. I liked the white one much better. Pains me to say this as a silver truck owner.
