Is it true that 2024 Taco production has been halted while the quality (and possibly design) issues are sorted out?

What is the reasoning behind that? So that they can all be fixed in one location?

I feel like JD/Consumer Reports are just paid off by manufacturers with no real merit to the score.
Honda usually good with Consumer Reports despite all their oil issues years back.

For real. All these YouTubers are toxic and just tell people to throw their money around like no big deal when in reality these “influencers” are all bought and paid for.

Yep, Westcott rack, preload collar, RRWs along with their brand on the front of the truck on the radar sensor for some reason, not anything unique or inspiring or like hey we tried to do this and found this, etc. Just another "influencer" pushing Toyota products and vendors. In a few months he'll be pushing the new LC I'm sure.

No issue just calling out just that. It's not unique and just pushing product. He also is trying to label himself as a offroader, enthusiast but then gets defensive when people call him out about something when he's wrong or just pushes products like spacer lifts and raptor light grilles (his pro) at least MaxPowell and the OG guys were cutting stuff up and trying to stuff things, push limits, not pushing ad dollars and products.

I would like to see the influencers actually do something in and with the truck, like go somewhere, take a trip whatever, at least that bunch that are testing the trail hunter actually use the thing for more than just a tinker and take photo piece.

Westcott isn’t bad, they’re a glorified spacer lift that makes a few other products as well. It’s like the Toyota bro brand. I know plenty of other shops that are just as good if not better. I got my truck done at 88 rotors. But there’s much better and more capable shops than Westcott such as Sibi built, JBM off-road, Kaizen off-road, etc.

I almost bought a 2019 Voodoo Blue Pro from Jeff when he was the Fleet Manager at Right Toyota, he's come a long way and thats great, its a great option for many but agreed there are better options for true enthusiasts and other options/shops with more extensive product testing, etc.

This!! I want to see them beat the shit out of these trucks because hey, they get paid a crap ton to make mods to their trucks so why don’t they put them to the test instead crawl them to the mall.

I agree with this, their ratings for vehicles are usually wildly different than what you hear from actual vehicle owners. It’s bothered me for years.

I hope he does something exciting with this truck. I’ve been following along and so far it’s just bolting on new bed tie downs, tint and wax. He better do some serious off-roading to justify the new lift and tires. I honestly don’t really see the point of lifting this truck that can already fit bigger tires stock than the previous gens.
