Idk, I’m sure it’s a fun car. My 02 was a great little unit. It was a riot in backroads.

 

They're horrifically slow, loud (NVH), and rattly cars. They feel supremely cheap to drive. They're right for somebody but they're not right for me. Also the latest six-speed gearbox is a tragedy on par with genocide.

 

Better to drive something new, with warranty, for cheap, than end up seeing him sell/trade his truck for an old turd

I wasn’t gonna buy it, I was just looking up SAS builds that didn’t look like tweaker builds.

 

I mean they’re “quick” on dirt roads. How fast do you need to go anyway? It’s not like we have an Autobahn or Nurburgring here.

 

I like to go fast, Subarus don't do that. Even their top dog STi is a runt. And I've got the back roads of the palouse, triple digits in less than 1000' is a benefit.

 

Even my GFs Avalon feels like a rocket ship to me. 90s Toyotas are total dogs for the most part.
