I'd be interested in any feedback about the OVS canopy/camper combo when on someone finally gets one. As most of is are aware, it looks similar to the ones coming from China/Alibaba. I'm very curious about the fit and finish of the canopy and the tent material. OVS looks to have this priced a tad less than a GFC or Topo Toppers camper.

I've had a bunch of shells/ canopies that include leer, smartcap, GFC, and the bynd4x4 (chinese canopy). They all have their pros and cons.

Just trying to gauge if the the price out weighs the bulid differences. I'd also be curious on what the warranty is from OVS on the canopy/tent combo.

This cap is really well made and fits perfectly! We are very happy and would recommend it to anybody interested. All the hardware fit perfectly and OVS was very thoughtful throughout, most notably in the way they added butyl tape for the gap in the bulkhead.
I saw concerns about the bolts being on the outside, which led people to be concerned about the security of it. But I would find it hard to believe that somebody could get those bolts off when there’s a nylon nut on the other end of it. Not to mention, it’s on the inside and not accessible without already having access.
Anyway, no matter who made it or where it came from, it’s a pretty solid product!

Thanks man! It comes with the rails but not the cross bars. Last I looked, they are not available yet.

Has anyone considered putting one of these on a 2nd gen truck?

Just wondering if anyone might have some insight into this. I know that interior bed dimensions are identical from gen 2 to gen 3. But there is a slight difference in the location of the track where this clamps to the truck.

I think the bed is slightly shorter (less deep) on gen 2, compared to gen 3 as well, so the cap might sit slightly lower. I don't know if that would be a problem or not, but I kinda think no.

Anything I'm not thinking of? I'm considering ordering one, and adapting as needed to make it work on my gen 2 truck, but its a bit of a gamble, especially if there is something egregious that I'm just not thinking of

... What about the angle between the cab and the topper? If someone could post a straight on side photo that would be helpful...

Only seems like a few people on here got one in the first run. The next batch is supposed to be available in July. You could contact OVS and ask for CAD drawings

I'm considering getting this cap for my truck. I'd be interested to hear your feedback after owning the cap for a while now. Thanks!

I bought one and was promised it would ship last week but they were still putting them onto individual pallets and was told it'll ship this next week. I canceled my order and am going a different route but for you you shouldn't expect one til their next shipment in a month or so just do to not being on the list but definitely call them and ask

Nice. Built in vent anywhere to create positive pressure to keep dust out?
