I got my wife’s Jeep and is getting new tires today. She just got this and I wish I went with her because she got two brand new and two with half the tread. I’m going to take those new ones home and sell them . Pirellis I think. I’ll post the info with pics in this thread and go from there.

While I’m at it. Her old car was a 13 ford escape and she wants to get rid of the weather tech floor and cargo mats. Make an offer is what I’m going for. They are in great shape.

So I have an update on that car play question I asked about. I got a much better cable and it works fine with the exception that it gets disconnected easily from bumps and cable movement even though it seems it’s tightly connected. Otherwise it’s ok

I got a question of my towing capacity on my truck. Is it 3500# including the trailer? My brother asked if I could tow his car 250 miles. Probably 2500 ponds it weighs

If you don’t have the tow package, it’s 3,500lbs total weight of the load including the trailer, etc. 2,500lbs is pretty light for a car unless it’s an old smaller classic. A Uhaul car trailer is 2,200lbs. The combined full weight that you’re towing with that set up is now 4,700lbs.

I swear I've seen a highly contentious thread about Tacoma towing capabilities somewhere on the interwebs...hmmmm

I do have the tow package. Trailer hitch and plug for my lighting. I don’t think I read the manual correctly as it said if I was towing with the bumper 3500 is the limit . I think I need one of these :anonymous:

I think that's thinking of one of these things.

If you have the tow package I'd do that. Not every day but for the one off, not a problem.

IIRC, the 3500 was regarding the trans cooler.
I believe 6800 is the tow limit.
That being said, while it can it be done, you "mileage may vary" I believe would be appropriate.
Drug my empty 6x12 enclosed(1500lbs), up just shy of the Canadian border to bring a bike back(less 2000lbs trailer and load coming back).

Truck is not.. ideal for this type of stuff. It's capable, but, the users patience may be put to the test.

Mine might not be the benchmark either. Mine has never been able to hold 6th gear. From new. Tuned or not.

Anyone have info on the Smokey Mountain 1000? I’ve been looking for the route, I’m hoping to do this in June and am trying to plan it out.
