Man these $45k Tacoma prices are crazy, you should buy a $70k Lexus instead.

I totally agree... For the cost of a good Taco its worth looking at other types of rides. I just traded in my 2010 TRD sport last weekend for a Lexus IS350 Fsport with the adaptive suspension and track ready :D

Sooo much more comfy than any taco can be and the same 3.5l v6 motor is awesome in that car when tuned by Lexus and TRD with 311hp and AWD 6 speed.

Don't need it. It has a trunk lol. Wife and I talked and we werent using the truck as a truck. More having the availability of a truck which didn't end up being used much. She told me to use the trade in value... I went and bought a comfy sports car instead for my 40+ years lol .

Gear hunting sucks, heard about it non stop on here. The transmission works great in the car plus I have paddle shifters now. :bananadance:

Before I throw $60K to a landscaping 'truck' I would go to a real full size.

you all be smoking crack if you are still stupid enough to pay a markup on vehicles.... i know i smoke crack, and these are dumb things i would have considered doing, but never pay even close to a MSRP... cars should be bought at invoice. dealers can make money fisting you in the ass with warranty/repair work.

I had previously posed a question somewhere. What if you purchased a vehicle, MSRP plus a markup? Well, general thought is that seems foolish, crazy, "it's their money" etc. Then I said what if the MSRP was raised, but then no markup added - as in this is the new price today. Is it still then stupid to pay this new price, which is just MSRP without a markup, or is it ok since there is now no markup. (Detail: the 'new' price is equivalent to the old plus the markup) Didn't seem to get much traction there lol.

How are people paying these prices for a midsize truck? A $2000 'discount' from the $60k, a $4,000 down from a beater trade + $4,000 credit card deposit plus a $800 payment? I don't see how this is sustainable.

The pricing is out of touch for sure. It's a rich man's truck now.

I paid $37k OTD for my 2018 TRD OR 4x4. I could never justify paying $60k for the same size truck with some more power and features.

$60k is the price exception on the Tacoma. You can get a very well equipped 4x4 OR for mid 40's.
