I used to go to auctions with the F-250 & 18' drive on trailer - dangerous combination.
Haven't been to one in several years now which is kind of :( but also probably for the best.

I should have bought a 1997 F350 with a power stroke and a John Deere 2640 to resell. They both went cheap but I don’t need anymore projects right now.

Swap meets are cool. Step dad has a bunch of stuff that he should let go of but...I don't know what to think, possibly he'll wake up one day and be able to walk again. I know it must be hard to let go of tools/equipment that's been such a huge part of your life and making a living.
I got to nephews place at little after nine this morning and we finished up at 4 in the afternoon, break long enough to wolf down few pieces of pizza. Here's a picture of the subject. I didn't get a after picture but it's certainly lifted.

Ugh..hit that 1x too many. He did send me a after picture but I'm not savvy enough to get it rotated.

That's what my cousin said at least 3x haha.
Oh and another thing; when you mentioned that floor jack must have been a bear to load on the back of the truck...an appropriate response would have been, " I'll let you know tomorrow".

There's an alignment shop very close to his house and he's taking it in Monday. Wish that I could get alignment closer, and probably could have but it's so difficult to tell until the tires and weight are on the suspension.
Only tools I could have used but didn't bring was mid length sockets for top nuts on coil. I was able to get one torqued then felt with wrench, I'm confident in my work.

I remember that suburban, I have stoked that thing and removed ashes countless times from that thing as a kid!

My almost 40 year old self has figured out how to fill the wife’s garden beds with 2000 lbs of top soil. Have the young guys a Lowe’s load your truck full of bags. IMG_5985.jpg

Now to kick off spring break in fashion for the kids. A nice fire and some s’mores.

Nice. These bags of soil were $2.50 each. I got 40 bags. My back is thanking me for not having to shovel bulk dirt.

I’d love to be able to do that. But first issue is I can’t get my truck through the back yard to where the raised beds are, second issue is I’d still have to do some sort of shoveling.

Unfortunately I got a back injury about 15 years ago from a car accident. Bulging disk, right on the cusp of being herniated. I get a MRI about every 3 years just to keep an eye on it. If I do any kind of strenuous shovel style movements I’ll be laid up for days :(

On a side note, never settle for an injury claim on your spine. Sure my 25 year old self felt strong after some physical therapy. There was a little lingering discomfort after a few months. Was able to keep going to the Gym and doing my typical workouts. So I settled for 30ish grand. Now a days I wish I would have drawn the case out longer.
I’ve followed a few similar cases where the injured party drags it out 8–12 years and are awarded pretty nice claims by juries after being able to demonstrate how their back injury had affected everything in day to day life. From wanting to do more fishing of Kayaking, to keeping up with throwing balls to the kids, running bases with them. Hell, half my sleep problems are because of my bulging disk.
