No but I do see that they have a quick release that I can buy. Not cheap though, but probably worth it.

 

Wait then how are you attaching your camera? Pretty much all tripods I know of come with a quick release.

 

It's a hard mount on top of the mono, think of it like a ski pole with a threaded stud at the top. I ordered the mount I posted, should allow vertical tilt and the quick release will be nice. Just pricey.

 

ohhhh it doesn't have a ball head on it. Gotcha.

 

No, I was hesitant about that after the tripod I had, no matter how hard I locked it down, it still liked to lean because of the weight of my gear. Looks like the mount I ordered only has movement in one axis so should be an issue.

 

yeah ball heads all have weight ratings. You can spend a LOT on a good ball head. Our best one we have is 5k alone. works nice though haha

 

Well vibes are still happening. I did check the lugs and a handful where not at torque spec but not by much. Like barely a pull.

So back to doing the u joint. Probably get a parts store one at this point just to get it done.

Went for a bit of a cruise. Explored a new area until snow turned us back. Looks like some good stuff to explore this summer for quick get aways.




Vibe is still there. Definitely getting worse and really feel it in the back now. Confident it's u joints. Hopefully wheelers shipped them last week never got a confirmation.

 

Wheelers is trail gear now and everything comes from California and usually has terrible response time.

I have a new u-jount I carry in the OSK for the position at the diff pinion if it comes to a trail fix. You are welcome to it if you need it.

Working through some photos from a shoot I did today for a cars&bids auction. Pretty happy so far, certainly have a lot to learn still but great practice. The spot I chose was really neat, although a bit noisy, but the 24-105 lens is impressive.
