Pete you are truly a gentleman and a scholar. Never before have I been glad to be wrong, while simultaneously having dictionary.com back up my rationale for a banana-dick joke.

Does anybody need buckets? I have 40, yellow kitty litter pales that are too nice and heavy-duty to toss out. They make a great car wash bucket. Have beefy handles and hinged lids that you can pop on and off. I use one to store all the fluids I take when off-roading. Store partial bags of salt, fertilizer, charcoal, etc. that clutter your garage. They are stackable with the lids and are free. You can have as many as you want. I can bring them to Wyalusing.

Those are actually very robust, real off-road wheels. The valve stem is recessed to prevent it from being ripped out and 285's are an "approved" tire size. They my not be to your taste, but if I had a TRD, I'd be all over these. I already have a 2nd set of snowflake wheels for my SR5.

Please explain correlation between attractive whiteline price and spc issues.
Is it as simple as, how can a $300 UCA be any good?

I ask because I'll be wanting UCA's eventually. Was originally thinking of ordering the Dobinsons UCA's at same time as coilovers.
$300($500full) sounds like a too good to be true, thing.
When I 1st joined here I was reading raves about SPC's and recently I run into more threads of issues.

Edit: In my short time of researching UCA's, it's the ball joint and bushings you're paying for.
Not that it hasn't happened but I have yet to hear of someone bust the actual arm. (Always bad ubj's and bushings).

Then a guy should be able to easily make a 200% gain on investment if it's for the entire set.

Yeah, I wasn't real concise in what I meant. Basically you are correct in that it's how can a $300 UCA be any good when the competition is $700 or more.
On the SPC's I had both the ball joint and bushings fail on both sides. Those arms were replaced under warranty last summer. And now a second set of ball joints. This was all in under 40K miles.
Prior to Tylers post I have not heard of Whiteline. They may make a fantastic product but at this point I am more apt to spend the money on new UCA's with a proven track record than chase a deal.

It's a bummer because I really like the adjustability of the SPC arms, but something about my set up doesn't work with them.

It got me thinking.....(here we go again)
I haven't dove deep enough to know if there's compatability between ubj's and aftermarket uca's. Are they universal or uca specific, on some.
Otherwise, why not pc together inexpensive arms with some good ubj's and bushing kit?
Could probably do that for less than $300.

It really all depends on the design. I know some UCA's can use the factory ball joint, which is great from a reliability standpoint. That works so long if factory ball joint has enough angular movement to cover the suspension travel. Struts with extended travel like I have it doesn't work.
I believe many aftermarket UCA's use a larger diameter ball joint as well. That potentially helps with reliability as with a lift, bigger tires, greater wheel offset or spacers, etc. everything gets stressed more.

I guess ultimately you need to do some research to find what will work best for you. I know I certainly need to do some more here in the near future.
