Ok, why in the frigg do we have very similar kitchen layouts? We're thousands of miles apart!

I had just had the floor laid down, so the fridge was in the living room



I was afraid the outlet in the living room was overloaded so I ran a heavy duty cord to the 20 amp outlet in the kitchen.

And I also have 4 cats, so yea...

I think it was a common floor plan in the 60's and 70's. Most of the houses in my area are the same floor plan, just adjusted for left or right carport/garages.

Although, I no longer have the peninsula. We have a pillar that it also tied to, so instead there is an island/counter on that rather than the peninsula. Patio door and window exactly the same.

 

Yup, house was built in 62. Had in-wall ovens. Removed when they changed to built-in stove/oven.

 

I had a section of cabinets above it that I tore out. We use it as a small eat in area.
