I have talked to a couple of dealers and no one even seems to know a manual is available. Is there any way to possibly buy a '24 with manual?

How do I find / order one?

The Toyota website does not even have a search option for transmission.

2024 info isn’t out yet. They can’t “order” anything at this time. But the manual is confirmed in press releases and videos for 2024

Production begins in December. Expect finalized packages and pricing on the website next month.

but it’s important to note that toyota doesn’t allow you to order your exact truck. You simply express interest with a dealer who tries to locate the closest match among their allocation and that of other dealers

This! Contact a dealer and see if they have a list going and see what it takes to get on it. @pbiancardi

When you see it on the website, go to the dealer and talk to a salesman and get you allocation in the computer asap!

I have yet to see one in person. I’ve just ordered one, though. TRD Sport 4x4. At first they said it might be 14 months to wait, but now they’re saying it could be delivered July of this year. I’ll just have to wait and see.

Just a point of order, Toyota doesn't take orders, Toyota builds whatever they darn well please; what dealerships do is take deposits and then look for something which is close to what you want.

That’s what I thought. But then he says he is “special ordering” it. I’m not sure he means what he says, nor do I know how they have a system telling them it’ll be there on a certain date. As usual, I’ll believe it when I see it. I figured putting a deposit down was the only way I could realistically be able to test drive one before it is pre-sold to somebody. In my case it’s refundable, and applicable to any vehicle if I change my mind.

I feel it’s a higher probability of you finding one at another dealer, driving or flying there to get it. Instead of waiting for one to possibly come in. It’ll lessen your wait time. I’ve seen guys on 3G forum wait 12-14 months for a MT with color and options they want.

I waited 8 months between deposit and delivery; that said, I went through a very high volume dealership which gets lots of allocations every couple weeks, so they had quite a bit to choose from. Once the 6MT folks in line in front of me had rejected a specific vehicle I was given the option to take it, and once I got to the top of the list, I got a call from them for every 6MT which was even close to my requirements. In the end I settled for my second color choice; I had wanted Blue Crush Metallic and ended up with Barcelona Red Metallic. I call that a win. :)

The Toyota website didn't have a mt search option in 2023 either, but Autolist does.

You could search Toyota for certain MT trim packages, but that would exclude some manuals.

Autolist had 70something results, including a few 2023s still available in Mt

That is almost exactly what my situation is like. I’m in no hurry. In fact I wouldn’t mind the wait, for financial reasons. I need to get a few things taken care of and paid off before taking on another substantial vehicle note.
