How much gear oil should the rear differential take for a refill? I put 4 quarts in before it started to weep out the fill hole a little and if I put my pinky finger in the fill hole it felt level with the threads. Should I call that good to go?

    I have a 2020 SR5 4x4.

Weep hole is your max fill point! You did good. Fill until it leaks then seal it up!

Excellent! I'm now done with my Tacoma maintenance for the day.
    Today I changed these items:
    Engine and cabin air filters
    Engine oil and filter
Front and rear differential oils with SuperTech 75w90 synthetic. 6 quarts was a good amount to buy, I used all but 6 or 8oz. of the 6th bottle.
Transfer case fluid with red line MT-LV

I'm at just over 30,000 miles so I didn't seem to have any trouble with the fill and drain plugs like you say can happen in the videos. I did spray the plugs on the front differential with WD40 as those seemed like they might be trouble but came off easily.
The videos were very helpful. Removing the spare tire is a good tip, it makes so much room to work and good time to check the pressure in that spare, mine was down to nearly 20 psi.
I did the front fill with a hand oil pump for a quart bottle that worked well for me.
Thanks for this thread and videos it saved me a lot already. Now time for a beer run.

Miller? In Pennsylvania we drink Yuengling.

Looking forward to more videos. I have to watch the transmission one and decide if I'm comfortable with doing that in the driveway.

It's shockingly easy. I'd say the only one that is "difficult" would be spark plugs and only because big hands can make it trickier. But even sparky boys are very straightforward. Overall I'd say the 3rd gen Tacoma is very easy to work on, even with the sealed transmission.

The transmission fill plug looks like it's in a tight spot. Honestly I'd worried about getting the truck level in my gravel drive way to do the differential oils and transfer case but I moved the truck around a little and checked across the tonneau cover with the level app on my phone and nailed that perfectly so I could very likey do that.
The spark plugs do look more involved especially that drivers side.
The Tacoma so far with the little it has needed been fairly easy to work on.

IIRC I stuck a full size 1/2 drive ratchet up into that fill port area. Plenty of working room.

Sparks are more involved but save so much moneyyyy.

My pleasure gentlemen! More to come

as for conversion, not exactly an easy thing honestly as the map is paced out entirely by miles. Unfortunately I recommend simply flipping your truck to miles to check or converting miles to km on your phone every now and then.
