Like 20 something years I was in the rear seat of my buddy’s integra and , at least in California back then, the police didn’t have to have a reason to pull you over if you were driving on a county road. We happen to be hot boxing lol. When the cop came to the window, it was like Cheech and Chong, all the smoke came pouring out… it ended up being a good night because we didn’t go to jail ! Found this in the wild today. note this is the American spec type R not the HW Japanese version

Technically not a Hot Wheel but I'll take it. My GF got this at a Dollar General. Shes a keeper, Always wanted a HiLux.

 

Good Sunday everyone! Left the local grocery store and scored 2 more of these. I’ve got a complete set but know how people dig the Porsches! So if anyone would like one or to trade Jlmk. Always open for trades. Anything HW and sealed, Novas, Bell airs, JDM anything of that style. Hope y’all’s St. Patrick’s day is great.

 

You guys are all addicted. Denial is part of it. You'll buy a Hot Wheels here or there and then say I want all the color variations. Then you want one of every series in every color.
Then the totes start filling up. Then the shelves you put your totes on fill up. This goes on for years and your still in denial. Hot Wheels is like heroin. You're out on the street looking for another score.
You have your route you run and you're paying attention to the store's delivery schedules in your area. While planning vacations you google all the Walmart's and Dollar stores in the area. You tell yourself this is harmless fun but it is. Enjoy !

 

Haha I only look when I go shopping with my wife on Sunday, and on the occasion, when I need to buy some cherry juice at Walmart, and when I need to buy something for dinner when I get off work and happen to be next to target. But all this happens way too often. Honestly, the Integra is the first car I’ve bought off the shelf in a month! But yeah, you’re probably right.

 

Love this, because it’s so true! Better addicted to this than something else my lady says!

 

Nothing like hot boxing a coupe and being with the homies! Sounds like a big part of my teens! Instead of an integra though it was in a good ole cavalier.

It is an addiction... the Glimmer of finding a new one or 12! It's a dopamine thing really... and I'd rather have 50 new HWs than a $50 bottle of bourbon!

Saw those at my local Dollar General I believe. Was so tempted on picking up that spyder but I’ve stayed away from “matchbox” this far. Lol if I start buying matchbox as well then we are in big trouble lol

It's been an awful week. But, this find did brighten up my day a bit.

 

I’ve got a question for you talented HW customizers on here. So I won the pikes peak taco on eBay last night with an idea behind the purchase. So I would really like to try and make a custom taco that represents my taco a bit. Reason I went with the white one. I’ve found these HW Enkei rpf1 wheels on eBay that would be set in place on the HW casting as my real taco has them on it. My questions are basically around how I would start off first and then the next steps per y’all’s recommendation to achieve this idea and make it a reality. I’ve never tried modifying a HW before but always down for the challenge. Included is a picture of how my real taco sits right now. I know it’s an extended cab and the one I got off eBay is a single cab but y’all get the idea. Would like to paint the spoiler and front end on the HW version black “like mine”’and then replace wheels and possibly strip the HW casting of its red and black graphics if possible. Any insight or ideas on this would be mucho appreciated. Like type of paints I would need, the process of opening up the casting to switch wheels, and if possible how to strip graphics off without damaging base white coat? As always, y’all the best!
