If you're going to go Option 2 or 3 and cracking the packs apart it's generally easier to do them before install. If you're staying option 1 having the packs mounted up but relaxed is the easiest in my experience.

Still not fully decided on option.

    I'm currently at
    FL 22 3/4
    FR 22 3/4
    RL 22 1/5
    RR 22 1/2
TRD OR Access Cab - +100lbs in bed (tonneau/tools)

I have 1" blocks in the rear, currently.

I'd really want +1" over what I have already for some slight rake, so I'd like to sit at 23-23 1/2. I'm leaning towards option 2.

Step 1: get rid of blocks
Step 2: install new leaf pack

I’m running 23.5” front and 24.5” rear with stage 1 and bags. Super plush ride in any scenario

If you ever want to have a very versatile option just get airbags and cradles in any scenario (5psi-35psi) that still articulates as much as you will need

I run light (80lbs in bed) mat and box with supplies. The cradles and airbags make it so versatile. Offroading to towing my 4000lb trailer is simple

For sure getting rid of the block, keeping it wasn't an option

Any of you guys seen anything like this before? I installed icon RXT option 2 along with the 2.0 aluminum shocks in the back and my passenger side sock is moving around in the bucket. The top nut is torqued to spec and as tight as it will go bc there Are no threads left to tighten it anymore.

Do I have a bad shock? No leaking or anything

Looks like your shock isn't tightened enough on the top nut. I'm seeing the bushing move w.o compressing. I always tighten until it starts to compress, then stop.

You can add a couple washers to get it to tighten more, seems weird. Did you forget the second bushing pad thing? There should be two on the top, one on either side of the frame mount.

It’s as tight as it will go. I’m out of threads and while the washer idea might work I feel like something is wrong. I shouldn’t have to add washers.

bushings are correct according to the instructions so I either have a bad shock or I’m missing something. The drivers side is perfect.

Yeah that looks like the lower bushing is either missing or things aren't tight. Rear shocks snug up tight tight.

It’s as tight as it will go I don’t have any threads left to tighten it down more. It’s not cross threaded or anything either. Here is what it looks like underneath. Bushing and washer are in correct location. I marred it up a bit because I was holding the shock in place so it wouldn’t twist to get it as tight as I could.

Are you running any lift up front? I’m considering option 1, because I don’t really want to lift the rear, just return it to stock height. My ACLB sags with just the weight of my fiberglass topper, roof racks, and bed mat. Never mind putting any kind of gear, tools, or firewood in the back. I have sumo springs to install when I do the leaf pack to help with sag when pulling a small trailer.

ADS mid travel 1.5” of lift. Rake is good. It helps you stop better and provides better handling. 1” is a nice practical rake

the RXT leaf pack is way more progressive than stock leaf’s so you will get a little lift at first then it will settle.

With your setup I recommend option 2 or 3 with your hard canopy. I like a soft rear-end for the desert trails, plus I have a softopper which weighs like 20lbs

Just finished swapping them out, with only 2 jackstands and a truck jack.

2019 Access Cab stage 1 with minimal settling, I'm sitting at nearly 24" in the rear. I only have a Tonneau cover. Stage 2 would have been absurd.

    Some tips:

-ENSURE you have a 22mm deep socket. Taking the ubolts off w.o one is massive PITA. This will save you a TON of time, esp if you have an impact.

-I jacked the truck up by the pumpkin, placed jacks on either side at rear of frame, chocked front wheels. I then used the jack that came with the truck to hold the pumpkin up, and moved the big jack to the hitch. Then, moved the truck jack to driver/passenger side and used it to help lower and raise each side of the axle to best get the leafpacks out and in.

-I was able to easily slide the packs forward to the front of the car, and carefully twist them to clear them to freedom. New ones went in the same.

-I used a ratcheting strap to pull the axle forward/backward to line up the pin. I just wrapped it around the axle, and hooked it to the frame. Didn't take much.

-Dont forget to put the bumpstop back on.

-I reamed out the ebrake support bracket and moved it to the closed bracket thing on the leafpack to the front. Works well.

Taking a break right now, but I need to head out and torque everything down, drive it a bit, then retorque.

Sidenote, I noticed my bumpstop are actually used. I didn't think I was pushing it hard enough to hit them. Frame section where it hit was nice and shiny black. I regret not getting a ubolts flip kit w superbump or something like that. You have to buy new bolts anyway, and they are ~60$. I'll be ordering and doing that next.
